There are other fish items you can get and seek from mini games like the tooth or horn plus clams and crabs are scattered around islands

You can sell it but at some point someone may ask you for one as a quest, sometimes you'll get more $$ for it with quests but not always plus you need your inventory space

Yeah, I figured. I'd love to get a response from the devs on this, as it's kind of a deal breaker for me. Thank you for answering my [and so many other people's] questions!

EDIT: HandCircus responded on Twitter, and said that the holiday items are limited edition. They'll be sending out a notice when the time period will close, though.

Wait, does this require an Internet connection? I'd prefer it if it deters cheaters since I'm loving this game. Cheaters simply ruin games like Animal Crossing to me and ruins the fun of finding rare items and trading with friends.

Also not sure if any multiplayer component yet add me at RichRuzz on GC

    Wow... Just wow.

What could honestly have been an awesome game, ruined by greed. Quests purposely designed to elicit pearl purchases to complete, even traveling between islands mini games gets its freemium mark... Prices for items too high to buy, unless you freemium up...

    Dear Dev,
Times aren't so tough and you can make a mint by going premium and still offering a pay to win style iap. I'd re download it in a minute if I thought you weren't trying to get all my chump change to complete a quest.

    Graphics are awesome
    Controls are good too
Story line is good, albeit linked to quest completion which (imo) is purely motivated by iap lust.

So what could have been a strong 4.5 out of 5 gets dinged 4pts for bad iap packaging and pricing.

I'm fine if you don't agree with my take - we all have our opinions and thoughts on games and their marketing strategy's.

I'm not a huge fan of the game, but this is extreme. I have made it through a ton of content but haven't spent a dollar. Everything is attainable through time and grinding... just not something I have enjoyed since my PSX RPG days :-/

I'm supposed to be smuggling a mystery package to Larona Village. I'm there but don't know where to drop it off and it won't let me go to another island until I've finished this task. Help please!

I think of this as Animal Crossing you play over time and get stuff not everything all at once... am I wrong here? I don't mind doing a few things selling and getting off after a few quests.

nm, guess there's a timer that needs to expire before I can finish the task?

Look for a really shady character on the right. You may have to pick up and throw away a berry bush to reach the person. Talk to and give the item to them, and you're done.

There are two problems I'm worried are deteriorating the scores of the game.
One, the game was overhyped by TA, after announcing it game of GDC.
Two, the people think there is a major unbalance.
There may be an unbalance in getting random items which is annoying, and the coins take a while to set up, but together, they sort of balance out.
You may have to play an extra day to get the item you need to clear a spot on your island, or to build a new building, but in the meanwhile, you should use this time to get as much money as possible so that it doesn't seem so distant to get the next building. Granted it's slow, but it's as slow as Animal Crossing was to me, which is nicely paced, you CAN spend a good half hour playing the game and not realize, but there will be an end to your session. It feels nice.
Note: I played since Day 1 of soft launch.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to say a big thankyou from me and all of the HandCircus team for all of your feedback during soft-launch. You really helped us to iron out many frustrating elements and improve the experience greatly. I hope that you continue to enjoy the game and do keep that feedback coming! We've got lots of fun things in store in the coming weeks and months, so watch this space :)

    Thanks,
    Simon (HandCircus)
