It's been a few days and I still haven't been able to win an Explosive Barrel. I won't. Few medium challenges but was awarded things I do not need like Lobsters I cannot win the Hard levels for the life of me. Even the racing ones I cannot do. The other boats are too fast and if I hit one barrel, I automatically lose. I am playing in a iPhone 6 Plus and the hard challenges lag for me often.
We have been tuning the sailing challenge difficulty for the next release - it is much more fairly balanced now. In the meantime, there are other ways of getting the exploding barrel - some NPCs will offer to sell you one (they won't have a quest marker above their head though). In the next release these trading characters will have a special marker above their head too.
Ohh really? I had no idea. I do not talk to NPCs that do not have a question mark above their head because I thought it was a one sentence dialogue. Thanks for the tip
It now has come to the point I need to clear a boulder so need a barrel. The sailing challenges seem to have gotten harder not easier as stated. And not once have I encountered a character willing to sell me anything.
The difficulty has not changed in the 1.2 build, but will be easier in 1.3 (and the buys/sell NPCs icons will be in 1.3 too). The places to look for sell item NPCs are Bullhorn Farm, Seadog Cove and Woodcutt Isle.
I have an issue where I got a mission from the guy that only shows up at night to return a fugitive to him, but he was gone by the time I got the fugitive. So now Im stuck all day with this guy and can't do any fugitive quests or taxi delivery quests because they say I have an active one going on
Any idea on when the 1.3 update will be out? I can't win the hard missions and there aren't a lot of medium missions. Also, when I feed the 2 cows at once, I sometimes get 2 milk bottles and sometimes only 1. Is something wrong?
Thanks for the reply - maybe they just seem harder to me cuz I am suddenly looking for something lol! I have tried those areas to no avail :/
Quick question for devs: When Mortimer Woodchuck talks about her, is he referring to Wendy Burlap? Anyone else think so?
Tricks of the trade Here are a few things I've discovered while playing that might help other players some are basic others a bit more complicated 1) Prestigious trick! - Whenever you someone asks you about your prestige level (which means they want you to raise it by 30) click nope then return to your town and remove enough items to lower your level by at least 30. Return to that person accept the quest then replace the items you took out so your level goes up to the required amount to complete the quest. Amoy way is to always store a few high level pieces of furniture away so when this quest comes you just have to place them 2) Gnome Slayer! - One of the rewards in the game is for defeating a certain amount of enemies, 10/40/100 or sometimes you might get asked to defeat 3 gnomes as a quest. Simply go to friends, visit them and then go to that small cave behind the green bush as soon as your enter, defeat the gnome then do that whole thing again with another friend or people from the prestige list (rinse and repeat) till you made your quotas 3)Pick Em Up!- if you have two items on top of each other just move away then tap it one for one of the items then again to switch to the other, so if you had a strawberry and blueberry under it you'd tap it twice to get the blueberry instead of getting the strawberry. A good move so you don't grap unwanted items 4) Movement! Fast way to move across the island, simply scroll away from your character to the area you want to get to make sure you no longer see your character then lick there and they should come running over in a jiffy much faster than if the went the correct route 5) FarmVille!- if you go to the vegetables section of the farm really early( just S they open and get some then just before they close even if you picked up everything, some more should appear that you can pick again I had some more but they have slipped my mind at the moment If anything I listed is actually a glitch and it gets fixed because of this post then I'm sorry for blowing it for anyone else that was using these tricks
I have a quest that won't go away. I forget her first name cheapskate asked me to fill the food stall twice. I did and that registered but she disappeared so I can't report back to her! Each time I add to the food stall the number increases but she is gone! Her icon appears above bullfinch island but when I get there that too is gone. Ideas?
LOL, #1 and #2 will totally be getting a fix sooner or later. But thanks for the tips anyway. #5 is simply a reflection of the fact that farm are open from 6am-8pm and the crops refresh time is 12 hours. So if you pick them right at the time when the farm opens at 6am, they will be refreshed and ready for another pick at 6pm. Here's some fact about different refresh time: - Fish: 5 hrs - Monster: 12 hrs - Farm crops: 12 hrs
Yesterday I was trying to build my 4th Trader house and was missing a screw, so I was hopping between islands and using my energy (boat trip) to try to get a easy/medium Shooting Target mini game. It almost took me entire day of playing to get that screw. During the course I seen 2 Shooting Target game, one of them is hard (which obviously I didn't get the screw), and at the end of the day I finally got an easy game which land me that screw. It looks like there are certain % for each mini games to show up, and base on my experience, I am pretty sure the Shooting Target mini game has the lowest %. So I have one suggestion to the Devs: Can we have more Shooting Target mini game? Since this game contains 2 important materials (screw and reinforced wood-piece) for building progress.
I had this issue with getting a quest from the guy that only appears at night, I finished his quest but he had already left so I had to wait till he reappeared the next night to collect my reward
Well I know there are two people that I think only appear on weekends the guy with yellow hair and the girl has a red hat there there when the Pitdowns are gone
