I just want to be able to customize my main guy. I see a lot of NPCs with different facial features and skin tones. Thats pretty cool!
I've checked all day and no ones been selling anything at all, what's worse is im still being bombarded with pancake quests and I can't even make them unless wheat is on at the farm....sadly today it's not and for once the reward sounds good being a starred captain hat usually I only ever get sports caps. Also once again the man that gives the quest at seadog Island to give him a fish didn't give me a reward. He's inside the light house, I give him the golden fish and it says quest complete shows the gold stars but no coins or exp reward at all. I'll have enough to build my seabeard manor in a few hours, is it worth doing or should I do my fishing academy? Only need yellow paint for that, anyone know how much gold it costs?
Once more, thanks for the feedback. Some updates on some of the issues mentioned above: Broken reward for delivery quests - This will be fixed in 1.02 NPCs buying/selling items hard to find - They will have an inventory bag icon above their heads in the global release to make them more visible Cheers, Simon
How frequently do they 'refresh'? I mean should i check back once an hour? twice a day? once a day? Also the little girl from the screenshot above has a quest for me. So does that mean I am screwed? If I dont take the quest, will it eventually go away and offer me barrel of explosives or what?
Yes, the quests and dialogue will refresh several times a day. Accepted quests will stay with you for 12 hours (unless you complete them!) so if you don't plan on completing it, you should not accept the quest as it will refresh in less time. She is not the only NPC selling items though, you should also check on Woodcutt Isle and Seadog Cove.
does they all sell all the items? cause I dont need other items only the explosive barrel (at this point)
I think right now the swap shop is not really worth having since you can't really swap or buy what you want from friends I think allowing us to trade regular items would make the social aspects worthwhile. Imagine being able to but explosive barrels from your friend who's a lot better at mini games than you or buying pancakes from friends because you couldn't get yours crafted in time to complete a quest. It would end a lot of frustration people are having right now for sure Or how about letting us sell the items like clothing at a stall I have over 8 of the same hats and 4 root removers left over
This is a great idea, and definitely something we are interested in doing in the future - right now we are focussed on addressing game balancing during soft launch - the ability to trade any items with friends would have a big impact on the balancing and progression, so we've limited the swap shop to decorations and clothing for now. Once you unlock Seabeard Manor, you will start getting visitors to your island that will buy clothing and other items that you can't sell on your trader stands.
I just got the seabeard manor and it mentioned about visitors but I wasn't sure what it was on about. What do they buy from my swapshop? Also thanks for the info about the quests I keep accepting ones I know I won't do I'll give them a miss now. Also earlier the girl in seadog cove was selling thorn remover at 6am and now at 8pm was selling dynamite, is there a pattern or is it random? Sadly the dynamite was 800 which I can't afford anyway.
I have never gotten this much joy from breaking a game. To briefly summarize what I did. -Upon starting a minigame, rapidly press the bottom right corner so that it asks if you want to skip to the next island. -I refused, but I would not know if it makes a difference. (Also know I was headed for the home island...) -At your home island, enter the swapshop. -Try to place down the broken key item, and place down a real item, qnd place down the broken item again. -Confirm the price. -Try to skip to you home island, you should hear the blimp sounds and the music stop. -Your screen should look lke picture 2. -Head to your boat. -Your screen should now look like picture one. Tada! It's so beautiful.
When you say broken item? Is that the quest reward I just got being a clothing item but it says can't find key? Can't wear it and it bugs out when you try to put it in the swap shop? Just upgraded my warehouse with my first 50 pearls, took a long time to get them but gives me double the storage, seems much better than 5 extra bag slots is it for 50 pearls?
Could someone please tell me what's the coin cost for building the Warehouse? I already have the blueprint and about 50% of the needed materials. But definitely want to get the fund ready before filling my bag with all the materials. Btw, is there a wiki or a spreadsheet about all these info? I can't seems to find anything about that.
