Hi all, Thanks again for all of the feedback, particularly snowblzr for taking the time to report of all those issues with screenshots (most of which we've now fixed). To address a few of the specific issues: "Clearing home island items" (such as tree remover, dynamite) - In addition to sailing minigames, these can also be purchased with coins from some NPCs. Sometimes when NPCs don't have quests (so don't have the green markers above them) they have things for sale. Try speaking to characters on Woodcutt Isle and Seadog cove. Sailing minigame difficulty - We are going to be working on tuning the sailing minigames to smooth out difficulty spikes for the global release. Sailing reward items - We are going to find a solution to prevent the frustrations of not getting a reward item when your inventory is full. Thanks again, Simon (HandCircus)
Never seen anyone selling anything but I'll have to check that out, hopefully you seen all the posts over the weekend as more was mentioned but yes the mini games desperately need a change and not just even a little change, medium and hard basically need a complete overhaul. I also agree with a previous poster that building prices should be shown for eg building the Seabeard manor, I got all of the items together only to realize I need 4000 gold and now have to hang onto those items for quite a while. If it had shown I need 4k I wouldn't have collected them all yet. With fishing 90% of my fish are rubbish a few golden and next to no stonefish, maybe you need to tune the amount of stonefish? As I said I work nights and fish a few times a night and I'm lucky if I ever see 1. I have a whole 2 after about a week!! Also very annoying when you hook a fish and it just pulls until it's gone. Finally the food stall seems a complete waste compared to the fish, all my cash is from fish and quests. Food is barely worth anything in most cases so hardly worth carrying. Also now I learnt to make pancakes everyone keeps asking for them multiple times a day and they aren't that easy to make....the most you can do is 2 and that's if the farm has wheat. Besides that the cash reward is little more than it cost to make....many crafting costs negate most of an items value. Edit: just tried woodchuck and seadog and no one was selling abything, granted I have a few quests but mainly quests I can't and won't complete so have to wait 12 hours. I'd be interested to know if anyone finds people selling dynamite ect
OK so for all of your characters. Each time you level them, something new appears in the game and difficulty gets easier. I have level my fisher twice now. Each time a new fish appear in the waters around the shores. They are worth more as well. I upgraded my fighter once and he became stronger. Will upgrade again in a few more battles. Maybe I will find new monsters? Not sure what pets do yet. I assume the archeologist can find better artifacts.
I just got a reward for either 10 smuggling quests or 10 taxi ( not sure which as I wasn't paying attention and completed both) but my reward was a clothing item titled can't find key, and when selecting it, it just takes me to the clothing screen without any new items to put on.
Yeah I got that 'item' too Noone is trying to sell me anything. I might put in another day or two but if I dont get explosives soon Im giving up. Devs playing a game where one literally cannot proceed is not fun.
No regrets. Also, it would be nice to have a visual representation of someone selling something. I'm sure there are MANY out there whom gave up because they could not get an explosive barrel, and had no clue about vendors. Perhaps a floating, bobbing green dollar sign like the crafting symbol. or you could say in the hint/description can be "sold from random characters". EDIT: Okay. This makes me sort of nervous... A refund poicy would be nice...
I am sorry and sad to say it, but after many many hours with this game I have to say that it is one of the biggest disappointments I had in 35 years of playing games. In short, the reasons: - you have to work just too much for everything: inventory space is a major pain, even after upgrading once (for a - in my opinion ugly price-point); then major important stuff to do can only be done during daytime, which annoys me so much, as I just don't have the time during the day, being busy as hell (developing games myself). - mini-games mostly boring, too long, unbalanced as hell - too many surprises when it comes to "and NOW to finish the next step of THIS you need more of items xyz". Why not show clearly what you need to collect for certain buildings and stuff early on? - all, ALL deco items, buildings, etc cost WAY too much. I love a challenge and grinding as well, but the amount of Gold you need for everything (not even starting about Pearls here) is just a joke. - the monetization is the ugliest one I have ever encountered. Like a frikkin Kraken that messes up every aspect of the game. And the energy system on top - not matter if 4, 8 or 10 size - is almost hilarious. More important: it all just does not fit. It does not feel as a whole. Sorry, I can't explain right, but you know, paying 4x 5bucks for stuff like "no energy needed", "Gold Doubler", "a good-sized inventory", "deco and clothes", ... would all be totally fine!! But this endless hole you throw money in and then, as a thank you, the next step gets even MUCH more expensive... No, sorry devs, this is not acceptable and I would like to wish you the best of success, but just can't. I am soooo bloody disappointed and have to say that I hope that there won't be enough ppl to spend on this. Perhaps then you will seriously reconsider this bad (monetization-)design. Sorry, I tried to not rage much, but its really difficult...
For me the worst part is the potential this had to be an amazing amazing game. Anyone can release a game that sucks, but to a release a game that could be amazing and have it suck, well that just hurts worse. DEVS - I am much happier knowing I can eventually find someone to sell me that damned barrel. I have had a set of blueprints in my inventory for a week. Now perhaps finally I can move on.
Somewhat disagree. The big issue is getting a warehouse earlier. That alone changes things majorly. Since building that, I haven't needed a larger bag. I think they just need to speed up the day/night cycle to be like 6 hour increments. Disagree somewhat. Agree sometimes. TOTALLY AGREE. Agree. Frustrating. It should be stated up-front. I'm sure gold continually gets easier to come by, and pearls ares supposedly going to be easier to get for free. Problem solved with a little balancing... The monetization is imbalanced, but can be fixed relatively easy. 8 energy already made the game 100% better.
Agreed. The warehouse bit pisses me off the most because for a week I have had warehouse bueprints and nowhere to build it.
Hi everyone. I'm enjoying the game so far. I've got a lot to say, and I'll spit it all out later. But how do you get a stonefish?
In the water at night. They are rare (but not as rare for me as some others have said) I usually see 2-3 a night. if there are none there, just keep fishing and hope a rock fishy respawns
Are there any specific islands that I should look for them at? I've looked almost everywhere for two nights now and haven't found one.
Im so jealous right now. Mine doesnt sell me anything. Ive been trying all afternoon and evening and she wont sell me jack shit
