Exactly my thoughts, they did say they have changed it and made it easier to get in the next update but then that just makes me feel like I've lost out! Anyone ever found dynamite? I've never had any at all although that's maybe because medium and hard mini games are just insane? I can't build my 3rd traders house now and just at a standstill. Also as a bug whenever I feed both cows I only ever get 1 milk back.
I just won my first dynamite. Not sure if the minigame matters but it was Dangerous Waters on Medium. (Which is a huge relief because I thought I would never win any minigame past easy on my iPad. Except for maybe Target Practice...) When you pick up milk, make sure to wait for another milk to show up. They only hand you one milk at a time. I'm assuming that might have been the case. I should be back later tonight or tommorow for a bugs w/ pictures dump and weather suggestions.
Actually if you fed both there should be another milk behind I once loaded up and had 4 milks waiting for me after continuous feeding them
I wish I could get dynamite, I even lose on dangerous water mini game sometimes due to my game often lagging for a split second when things appear or happen on mini games. Also the milk use to be 1 behind the other for me not not anymore, I only ever get 1 milk now. Stuck and unable to progress much without the dynamite for that trader house so working on my angling building instead for now....1 stonefish in a few days doesn't give much hope though. Edit: also I keep getting the same quests for a sports cap which I now have about 5 of and green bed which I have two of. Rarely root remover, only 1 ever tree remover and no dynamite at all.
Milk only shows one at a time for me, pick one up and other one appears there. I got my first dynamite barrel from a medium game yesterday, maybe the game only starts giving them after you have progressed a bit? I have three trader houses/stalls/the warehouse and opened the fighter section and haven't needed to break a rock yet. I've noticed if you remove the seabeard ensignia and put in the warehouse, the list of things required says cannot_find_hint in the place that normally says where the item can be found. Bit of Dev feedback, when the brothers are building something if you click on another unbuilt building it says the brothers are building something else but it stops you from being able to see what items are required at all.
Nope, I got my only dynamite barrel ever like my first day playing before I knew how rare it was, and my bag was full. Haven't seen one since.
Some more feedback since the energy change... I think the increase to 8 total is spot on. Now I can pretty much accomplish any sort of task within one sitting, which gives me a sense of achievement without having to wait a long time for recharge. It's also enough to let me grind for coins for a while so cool. The recharge rate is a bit much but I understand that's something to tweak in a future build. Thanks for acknowledging the freezing on sailing mini quests. It happens all the time in my iPhone 6 regardless of whether it's a fresh restart or not. At this point it's the next biggest concern I have because I'm getting to the point where I need dynamite and I've never won one through the mini games (medium is hard enough to beat on most). Some additional tips/suggestions: 1. When constructing a new building please let the player know how much coin it would cost *prior* to having all the resources. Example: I'm rebuilding the mansion and prior to having all the resources I just see a greyed out build/repair button at the bottom of the list. Once I get everything then it turns to live button with the coin price. Kinda puts me in a precarious position because it turns out the price was much much higher than expected and now I have to earn coins with all those building tools in my inventory (no way I'm gonna dump them all to make space in the meanwhile). 2. Freeze or no freeze, the hard difficulty for the sailing games is insane. I'd like to think I have some modicum of ability in gaming but I feel there's no way I could ever pass one. Please consider the difficulty down. The same goes for some medium games -- target practice and feeding frenzy have some rounds where you have literally a second or two to hit the targets, which is an insanely small window of opportunity for most. 3. Is dynamite award able during daily quests? If not, I'd consider making it so. Also it might not be a bad idea to reward one as part of the wood stand quest. 4. If you don't alter the difficulty or the mini games or make dynamite reward more prevalent, please consider lowering the pearl cost of purchasing one.i understand the monetization scheme but you will lose a lot of frustrated players if the cost for one rock removal is more than the lowest IAP for pearls. Otherwise, I'm still enjoying myself. The fact that it takes days to accomplish longer term goals is fine IMO - there are things I can do to earn a reasonable amount of coins and quests are cool. I just think more work needs to be done on the aspects that are clearly steered towards encouraging IAP.
After trying the game for a few days, i don't feel i need to purchase Iap. Partly because i dont play that much. Is there a way to change skintone and face features?
This is where I still am, three, maybe four days later after getting stuck on needing to clear a spot for the house to get the warrior crew member. Medium difficulty games are very difficult, I think I've gotten gold on one once, and that was a racing mini game where the lanes were particularly generous when it comes to obstacles that spawn out of the way of the best boost lanes. I just feel stuck between dropping $10 on pearls to get some dynamite or continually trying to brute force medium victories. Each time I try and fail I'm less interested to try again. :-\ Like Eric, I generally consider myself pretty good at video games. If Seabeard is going to target the more casual free to play audience, these are just going to be impossible for them.
Waiting for some fish to sell off and I thought I'd post a suggestion w/r/t full inventory vs mini-game prizes: The full bag dialog that gives you the opportunity to upgrade or trash items should appear after the prize is won and before you leave the mini-game. This would also be consistent with how it appears when you go to fish or pick up something with a full bag. I know you can enter your inventory at any time during the mini-game through the menu, but as several others have posted, the harder ones are frantic. Maybe a better idea (but one that would take more work) is to have a "prize booth" on each the islands where your prize will appear when you arrive, instead of it automatically trying to go in your bag. The "taxi stand" areas down by the docks on the islands could do double-duty. The home island (which I don't think has a taxi stand) could use the message board. These could have some kind of a sign with a gold chest, or just an indicator like the ones from quest turn-ins. To keep the prize booths from becoming a second inventory, a rule could be set that you have to pick it up before leaving that island again or the prize will disappear.
I was curious about that too. I actually asked that when they were in development and they said their wouldn't be. But I think if more people show interest they could end up adding it. I'd like to be able to change my hair and skin tone or even maybe eyes, ears, etc. I think it would be nice because as of now their are no characters that are black. there for everyone is forced to be white, which is a bit insensitive to African Americans.
Just saw the price for a 3 crew and one pet boat. It costs around 50$ to 60$ for it. I'm literally shocked. Plus to unlock more inventory space. It goes 50 pearls, 100 pearls, 150 pearls, 200 pearls, 600 pearls (<= wtf).
Here is my dump of pics/bugs. Pictures dropped quality, so just click them to see them full res. Here we see a Beautiful shot, but... ... but I turn the screen around and all the grass tufts are gone! So I visit an Island, and somebody else's Manor is showing the quest bubble to complete it. Doesn't let my try though. Same as last picture but with a different island, different Manor. Last line should say "go and do exactly that!" I put the Insignia in my warehouse, and this is what I get. Says Feeding Frenzy, not Feeding Time. She has the thought bubble as if I had a quest to finish, but she just says her usual "You're the bestest!"
I've been stuck for days on a quest that's asking me to deliver 3 taxi passengers. Maybe it'd be a nice if there wasn't a 1/10000 chance of even seeing someone in need of a taxi ride.
The game seems more like a beta than a finished game,I t's a decent game but could be a lot better if they remove timers and focus on making core mechanics more fun.As it stands it's another brick in the wall but one with a lot more potential whether it realises that or not will depend upon the developers.
I am so upset right now. The third trader house requires 2 reinforced wood. So I play some time, and on mt way back to the home island, I get Target Practice for Medium. Not bad, I think, I've done it before... Halfway into the game, I shoot the targets, and one of them is hidden behind a bystander. It is ridiculously hard to hit, and so of course, I hit the bystander, and now can only get coins. This has happened to me before, but it becomes so aggravating. On Hard, I keep getting taunted at the end with the unhappy face, which is really annoying. Now, I'm almost ready to throw my iPad. This game shouldn't even be this aggravating. >:/ EDIT: Happened AGAIN.
I think the mini games are way too difficult. I can barely complete the medium levels on certain mini games. So I gave up on the hard ones, I just pass those ones by cause I never even come close to beating them.
