The wolverine does exist...but it is like the porcupine...has a mind of its own when to appear. Even though I do have the porcupine, I do look every time when it rains at night and in 3 attempts nada. Sure glad I expanded my camera to keep an image of it. Best pearls spent! No haven't found the missing bird. I think it flew the coop!
What's really lame is making the beaver part of the main quest line. It's one thing to make it a side quest and difficult to find, but when the game stalls out waiting for the off chance to get a picture of the stupid thing.... AUGH! By the way... it was raining... it was night... NO BEAVER!

I'm beginning to wonder if I missed a quest to upgrade the engineer. Have completed making all of the carnival rides and now having to play 3 of each at a time and still no mission to fix the engineer so he can upgrade. I keep getting quests for better bars but obviously can't do that without upgrading / leveling him. Have asked and looked in the usual places and people and nada from any of them. So did a quest get skipped / bypassed?? I am on the middle of playing 3 times of the puzzle game at the carnival. Just seems odd that I could have leveled him quite some time ago ( week or more ago) and no upgrade home for him. And thus likewise I can't remove him from the party due to no home. Thanks! Ps meant miner not engineer...been a long day!
You have to play all the mini game quests first, then you will be given a quest to fix the academy so you can upgrade miner.... Mine is upgraded and supposedly I should find bronze ore, but I have mined and only get iron... Gah. Will check again later.... I need to make a bronze bar...
Well whomever set that up quest wise wasn't thinking. Since the miner easily gets to level before getting the quest to build the academy. But also notice this linear line of quests vs doing/ solving them simultaneously with others. Sigh..
So I'm missing a picture of the wolverine and that one mystery bird.... Oh and I haven't found the owl yet. I saw its at the quarry, but any pointers on time of day? I know it's called midnight owl.... But that's it lol.... And yes silly that acadamy was so late in game
I just found both the midnight owl and the wolverine at the Quarry. It is nighttime and raining. I have no idea if the weather or time of day is a factor for the wolverine, but I have seen it twice and both times were at night and on the weekend. I wish someone knew the mystery bird (colour, island, name)......
Anyone else having issues with finding bronze ore? My miner is upgraded the king said to make him a bronze bar, but my mining piles only have iron ore
My miner is level 2 and all I get is iron ore. 44 of 75 so far.....thinking perhaps he needs to be level 3
14 Recipes? So, Gastrome's assistant wants me to know 14 recipes before I can speak to Gastrome, but I can only learn 13 from Flambè. His Master Dishes are locked for me. How can I unlock them? Or is there anyone else that I can learn recipes from?
Anyone who has yet to receive the quest to build the Metalwork Academy might want to start collecting materials now. Some take as long as 20 hours to manufacture! 2 Iron-crusted Rock Cakes 2 Rockdust Planks 2 Camouflage Paints 2 Screws 10,000 coins Then it takes 48 hours to construct!
That's odd because you needed to level miner to level 2 and then the king asked for bronze bar, hope it isn't a glitch will you let me know once you have upgraded your miner again? I'm at 10/75 right now... So you will get there first #
Absolutely! I will be able to put the miner in his tank later this afternoon, so I should have an update for you tomorrow around 5pm (US east coast time )
Still no bird, BUT, I did get the wolverine...at night in the rain in the quarry up top. It took about 6 visits that night while it was raining. Interesting side note: I noticed that I had one empty slot on my camera the first 5 tries. The last try I had a pic still in there from a quest and the wolverine was slinking around and I had to hurry and delete the pic. I thought that was odd, and next time it was raining a few days ago, I expected to see the beaver, so I emptied a slot in my pics and went to get him to save (I already have the beaver saved, I was just experimenting). No beaver for 4 tries. I took a random pic and went back and there he was. Could be a coincidence, but for those trying with no luck, make sure your pics are full then see if you see them then delete the pics, don't make the mistake of aiming and taking a pic without having a place to save, because they disappear after they are snapped.
I finally got around to upgrading my archaeologist to the next level; I really didn't want to because I had all 4 of my crew with me, but it was some good downtime, so I did. When I went to pick her up, I was downgraded back to only carrying 3 with me. HOWEVER, when I had the miner at home and the next day was in the cave, I noticed, I went to click on a mining block and was thinking "oops, I left my miner on the island" and there he was...somewhere along the way I picked up all 4 crew again! Interesting...
