    Nice thoughts, Claytoonz.

I, too, took this approach to use a skill to convert gold to swords and assault the stone golem early to take it out, followed by the usual strategy.

This level peaked my interest because it is unforgiving if you try to play it without using that skill. Eventually, I was able to do it once without using any skill to do any conversion or batch collecting. This, however, ONLY succeeds if you are able to take out the golem EVEN before it casts its first spell. It requires blasting it with other skills to lower its hit point and then collect enough swords to take it out, all in under ?6-8 moves. Because of the random nature of the tiles, this strategy does not work consistently. Rather, it is proof of concept that it is doable...

Well, no, that's not true at all. I beat the golem on my first attempt, and not only did I not use (or even have) any conversion skills, I killed the golem last after everything else, which kept it around for quite a while. The single biggest tool in your arsenal in this game is the ability to push the board based on the direction in which you make matches; you can easily keep enemies moving away from you as long as you're not just randomly putting stuff together like you would in most other match-3 games.

You can also match the golem's stones to get rid of them, so they're a relatively minor annoyance as long as you don't let yourself get boxed in without a means of escape.

I'm also getting better and better in controlling the monsters by moving them around. It feels extremely rewarding. Amazing, that the devs created something really new within this genre.

Having played this some more and gotten a handle on the fundamentals, I can say with authority that this is a brilliant game! It has me playing in a compulsive manner... :)

I too would love to see an endless/high score mode at some point...

I came to the same conclusion last night. Brilliant game. I'll throw my hat in for an endless mode with a leaderboard as well.

I second an endless mode that goes up in levels (for new objects to be thrown in) with a leaderboard. I would play that forever :)

Let me be the fourth person on this page to request an endless mode.

    Amazing game.

Noted! We actually had an endless mode up and running but didn't have the time to tune and polish it before we shipped Scallywags. It's on our short list of stuff to add once we start figuring out what we'll want to do in an update. We have no date or timing on that, but it's great to know you're interested in adding that feature. Let us know, either here or email us: [email protected] if you have other requests. Thanks!

Not really a match 3 fan tbh but after glancing at some of the reviews I had to buy this today and wow. What a cracking game indeed!

    Love it :D

    Uhh.. I think I broke it #
Edit: attachment didn't go through.. Anyway, for fun try combining the popular piece to gold and swords to gold abilities. It basically fills all the board with swords :)

Something I forgot to mention before - I think theres a little bug in the matching algorithm. I've had several occasions where a match that occurs as lines are being added and shifted isn't automatically recognized and cleared leaving three matching icons sitting in a row. If I then move one of the three so that it switches spots with the matching icon next to it the match gets recognized and cleared...

I noticed this too. Only happens occasionally. If you make another match anywhere on the board, it also seems to clear the 'stuck' icons.

Anyone know how the store refresh/restock timer works? It rarely seems to restock in the time indicated, though maybe the timer counts minutes while playing the game rather than real-world time. If that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any info on that.

I think most/all the counters count down in matches. you can see how many matches are remaining in the countdown by tapping and holding yr finger on the skill icon during a round...

Why can you not choose exactly which skill to swap out? Kinda bizarre.

So there is no clothing choice screen? The bonus clothing, not the cosmetic appearance?

All clothing including clothing you've bought or unlocked appears at the beginning of the game when you can swipe things and change them. If I understand your question right .

Those are not two different things. The bonus clothing you get also changes your cosmetic appearance.
