Yeah, I was wrong about the level part - edited my post as soon as I saw, hopefully before anyone took my word for it, heh. It must've been skills and items. After dying and seeing how gameplay is in my new "life", the life/death system makes more sense than I thought initially. Back to gushing about the game: it's really, really fun and I really, really love it. And I've played a lot of match 3 games - it's a weakness of mine. The amount of work put into the game really shows, and I'm definitely addicted to this. I do agree about the music - it's neat, but I wish there was a volume meter instead of simply on/off. But that's a very small quibble, and hardly game changing.
Really is a great game, I died and regretted not paying the gold! Had no idea you restart to the first island, but makes the game that much more fun since you do need to be careful. Excellent job by the devs this is a match 3 done right!
One thing that's not as obvious when you die is that you earn XP at double the normal rate until you've caught back up to your old level. We figured this would take some of the sting out of death while still keeping it a reasonable penalty. We'll look at adding a volume meter in a future update!
Do the non gold/sword tiles ever do anything? Seems like if they change from place to place they should count for something.
Ran into this problem ... Anyone else? Started playing on iphone and saved with cloud support ... Went and played new game on iPad and got further. Go to iphone and not doing any cloud save on any unit. Uninstalled on iphone and iCloud only sees a level 0 character. I shut down app as well as sync iCloud to no avail
Having weekend already, i played almost five hours straight through the night, banned to the screen. I reached level 15 (i'm slow) with no crash at all. Runs buttersmooth here on iphone5. I didn't realize that i was short in money the moment i wanted go buy the bomb, and for the first time i also realized/remembered that it's possible to buy some in-game cash. This is how the paying customer should be treated, fair and not agressively as...others do. Almost bought one million cash for ten bucks...tired. Edit: I'm really close to honor the Devs for this labor of love.
I am hitting a brick wall around Level 11. I keep getting in the situation in which there are simply NOT enough swords to match and there are too many pirates on the grid (3-4 to 1) with sword gaps about 10-12 each. There is no way I can match enough since they go up by one only for each 3-match and only rarely I can get a 4-match to get more swords. What gives? What mechanic am I missing here? The extras have too long cooldown so you run out after one to two levels?
Here's +1 for not getting the iCloud save to work After a reinstall, it will only get its "own" iCloud save, not one from another idevice. I can't find a button to save or retrieve, just the checkbox to en/dis-able iCloud saving. Anyone else?
Is no one else getting the issue I mentioned a few pages back about the coin doubler. I think it's taken my money as when I try to buy it again it says I've already purchased it and try's to download it again for free but then errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
"Wasted" more than 5 ours straight yesterday as well, haven't been hooked that much since playing Bastion Speaks for the game.
I bought it and it says Purchased. All worked as normal. Send a private message with your problem to Claytoonz who is a part of the development team and try to sort it out.
Is there a bug with the achievement? There is an island I cleared (the one with the Stone Golem), but when I was done, you get an achievement that "left an island without clearing it"? What?
