The game was freemium from the start. The entire game is a gold grind!

The only reason it started at a price was te cash hungry devs wanting to rip of the fans that would pay for a freemium game from the start.

I don't care that I lost out on 69p! But it does annoy when it feels like the people that are willin to support devs by getting games as soon as they are released are the ones that get screwed!

Yeah, how dare developers try to profit off a fun game. I will say though launching the game at a supposed sale price only to instead drop it to free a week later is poor form.

The game doesn't feel 'freemium' at least. There's grinding but more in a RPG way rather than one of those stupid 'Blitz' games.

Annoyed that I paid for it, even though it was only .99 centavos. If devs believe in the f2p model with IAPs just release it free from the get go and watch the wealth pour in. Fun game still and a big fan of Ron.

I've put $4 into the game because of my love for Gilbert.

Clearly the game wasn't doing amazingly well, and that's a shame. It's one of the most enjoyable times I've had playing a game in a very long time. I've put more time in it than I have into Argricola. It's pick up and play, it's very fun and to anyone who whines about being ripped off, I shall smite you :p

Except that the consensus seems to be that it's sort of broken once you figure out the strategy, right?

    no.

I play the game how I want to. I'm level 22 and I haven't enjoyed a game in a very long time.

Maybe if I went crazy and loaded the hell out of power and/or damage I might have less fun, but I haven't. And I love it, as do a LOT of people here.

That reminds me, I need to get back to it.

Anyone confused/annoyed about pricing might find this helpful. Probably a similar situation. Moral is, don't steal.

Lol...I got this game free. I laugh because I've paid for games and they went free soon after, once even hours later. I laugh because, why are you complaining? Do you enjoy the game? If you do, then you just supported a great game! If you don't, get over it. It's a small amount of money. If you got at least an hour of enjoyment, it was worth it. I'm going it IAP to support a great game and only to support the dev. I hate IAP personally, but free and good...worth support!

What I always find frustrating is the piracy angle.

People that pirate will download pretty much everything new or popular. Whether or not they want to play it, they will still download it. This is especially so on Android where all it takes is a click of a button and they can install pirated games.

Seeing how easy it is to do on android blows me away. It's one of the reasons developers are more hesitant to launch games on Android.

And I can't help bit reflect on the plight of Punch Quest, another title that is a beautiful iOS classic and just couldn't find its footing to make money.

Everyone that reads this: get the game. Now. It's a great game. Even if you only play until you get to the point where things get a bit easier, it's still a hell of a great ride. It was a very well spent $4 for me.

There are many many pages of discussions here about the game. There are videos. The game is also free.

Why not try it for yourself and you'll know?

It's one of my favorite iOS games, has excellent iCloud support, an amazing sense of humor and a really fun mechanic that is a refreshing take on match 3 games.

IT'S A DOLLAR PEOPLE. I payed for the gane and after it went free I still bought some iap. The game is incredible and worth at least 4.99 in my eyes. And I urge anyone that is rnjiying this to support the devs.

Jebus, lots of whiners here. This game worth every penny, I bought it first day, and had a good laugh when I saw it went free. How can the whiners afford an iDevice in the first place, if they want to destroy the developers for ONE DOLLAR? Bet You can't live without Your usual daily beer, eh?

When I bought Infinite Blade full price, and it went free the next day, now that didn't felt good (thought that was a good purchase too), but this...?

And a question for the serious players:
How the ships work? The game says that they give bonuses even without equiping them, but I don't see any difference in skill cooldowns after I built all of the cooldown lessener ships.

It's all swings and roundabouts, some we win and some we lose! I won on this occasion but have lost out in the past. Instead of moaning don't waste that time when you could be playing and enjoying!!

Well, I was one of the "lucky" people who paid $1.99 just hours before it went free. Oh well!

Somehow I kind of know which games will drop free so I put everything I'm interested in on my watch list and wait. If its good I buy some iap. That worked out pretty well for me.
I got this one for free so I play a couple more and get some gold or whatever if it hooks me.
