Ill ask again how long is this game I hate short games even for 99 cents plus how many unlockables we talking compared to jet pack joyride that had tons.
I've not got the doubler and I've never struggled for in game money, it seems to be handed out pretty fairly, which is the main reason I didn't pick up the doubler as there doesn't seem to be any point in having tons of extra cash.
The game is quite long and has plenty of unlockables. It is also an innovative match 3 game. Don't hesitate.
It does...but those hearts, skill upgrades and late level resurrections (500gp x Exp Level) do get expensive so be sure not to spend it "like a drunken sailor"!
wtf are you considering, it's just 1$... over the last weekend I played at least 8hrs. that 12 cents per hour
I put in a good four or five hours over the weekend and I don't think I'm close to the end. It is easily worth the buck buy in plus the extra buck for the coin Doubler...
I found the music to grow unbearable quickly, so repetitive. I figured no problem, I would mute the music and play my own... but the app doesn't allow you to play your own music! Lifting that restriction would be nice, otherwise I guess I'll continue to play with no music.
Using certain "methods" you can force start your own music during the game, but it comes with the price of ridiculous lag and slowdown. Which is probably why the game doesn't support using your own music.
I agree that so far the default gold payout seems totally fair which is why I'd like the option of purchasing the coin doubler if I feel like I'm in a bind but turning it off later because I get the sense extra coin could break the balance of the game. Thanks to those who've replied.
I would also like a way to toggle it on and off. I haven't broken the game by any means, but the strategy and satisfaction that comes from deciding what skills to upgrade/take/add charges to isn't present simply because I can afford all of it (currently) and have plenty left over. I've gotten far enough that the game is starting to kick my butt - must match responsively and strategically! - so it doesn't feel like a game-changer, but I bought the coin doubler to support the devs and not have a boost (first coin doubler I've ever purchased) and would find it useful to, as undeadcow said, have the option to turn it on when I'm stuck or need coins fast, but otherwise have it dormant, that'd be really great.
I'd like to see added as well, along with a way to sell particular skills and/or ship materials rather than the current sell all or nothing method.
How do you check in-game if the coin doubler is active? Do you simply see your character stats as having 200% gold instead of 100% gold? Any other telltale sign that you are on coin doubler? For those who are scoring achievement, it would be good to know if the player involved has a coin doubler active.
When you match gold in-game you see a "bonus" next to the quantity and on the shop it says activated too
I believe there are passive skills you can buy that give a gold bonus as well. I see 'bonus' when I get gold from the spin wheels but I've not bought the doubler. Just check the shop and see if it is bought.
Two questions for dev (or anyone who knows the answers) - How come when I match three swords, the amount of power received varies between 1 and 2? Really the amount doesn't seem to change wether I match three or more. It's always 1 or 2 power received. - Is the ship supposed to change on the map? Because I have selected the level 2 ship but the default vessel shows up on the map. Thanks!
In regards to the power amount, I think I just figured out how one of those stats works! My current power level is 187 which seems to mean I get 2 power most of the time (87%) but 1 occasionally. Not 100% certain if this is how it works but it sort of makes sense. Getting more than 3 definitely makes a difference as this tends to then get me 3-4 power. One that still confuses me is getting an "L". I've seen as little as 4 or as much as 16 power from such a maneuver.
What's with all the junk? 90% of the grid is junk. I never feel like I'm doing anything. Pointless little grid nodes.
