This is one of the only iOS games I've played probably 20+ hours. Really enjoyable experience for me. Some top shelf match 3 adventure-ness.
I'm guessing I am the only one who did not really enjoy this. It got really dull fast, and also took me forever to finally destroy the enemy. I deleted this after 2 levels.
I paid for the coin doubler because I thought it'd help, but after a few early levels the battles become so unbalanced you pretty much have to dodge or spend your gold on power-ups to succeed. The cool-downs take a while, too. Then, if you die, you do get to keep these power-ups at least, but you have to grind all the way from the beginning again. I really wanted to love it, but the difficulty just doesn't make it as much fun as I hoped. I can't see any way to progress using 'continues' unless you've got oodles of gold. They start affordable then get crazy.
Without question one of my all-time top three match threes... Once I figured out how to play it (mostly how to strategically match as opposed to flailing about wildly), I ended up wiping out all the achievements and ultimately buying the doubler (long after discovering it to be totally unnecessary) as a "tip" in the hopes that these guys have more up their sleeves... Absolutely top shelf match threeing goodness! DBC
