I know it's been a while, but believe or not, I have been doing some work on the title. And after acquiring both Snow Leopard and a subscription to GameSalad, I'm much closer to publishing this game than before. For now, I'm just gonna leave you guys to compare and contrast. Several months back: Now: And hey, mods, could one of you do me a favor and changed the thread title to just "Lunar Smoke"? It's simply and would probably attract more attention that way, or so I reason. Thanks
if everyone was easily pleased then the world would be a boring place so how's lunar smoke coming along?
I think you really need to refine the look. Add more detail to the spaceship, blocks and other items. Can you do 3D by any chance? Have you ever played Jetman on Facebook. Good principle you could apply to a game mode.
It's coming along fine. Designing levels right now. Unfortunately, I'm not artistically inclined. The only way I can keep things looking relatively good is by staying simplistic. It's kind of a handicap :/ And yeah, I've played it. Might incorporate it, but I already have a few ideas of my own.
Hm... maybe you could add anti-aliasing to the squares. The pixelation makes it look really bad. If not AA, at least add some sort of bloom effect, to make the objects look smoother.
I'll definitely try that out. It'll look sharper on the iPhone, though, due to the higher pixels per inch, but once I get the gameplay down, I'll focus soley on graphics. Infinite in the puzzle-solving mode of the game. The difficulty fluctuates, and some levels will take more time than others, and depends on how the player decided to solve the level. It'd just be more open and simpler for it to be infinite than limited.
