      Can a 3rd-party app somehow inform the system of the current orientation, so that screenshots (Sleep+Home) never come out sideways or upside down?

      Screenshots of landscape games seem to always come out sideways until you rotate them in iPhoto (or whatever). I'm just wondering if there's a way apps might control this.

      There's currently no way for an external app to control this behavior.

      I see. Probably the kind of thing Apple should just improve about the screenshot mechanism itself.
