Nope. I tried the ones that came with my iPhone's case. I couldn't apply them without getting air bubbles and I hated the feel of them. I take good care of my phones though, I've still got my original iPhone that I've had for over two years and the screen has no scratches at all.
No, I hate the feel/resistance of them on your fingers. Especially for playing games. Just the glass screen is much smoother and better for me.
Getting ready to replace mine. Had it on since day of purchase in 12/08. Although the glass is very hard to scratch I still use one and on most all my devices. I've noticed the price for them have gone up big time. Since running out of screen protectors from overstock from days of ownership of a now shelfed Palm Treo, I'm in need of more and finding the prices in stores are outrageous even though some are pre-cut for the screen which is great. Might have to look online like it was suggested to me earlier today.
I got a case and a screen protector within the first week of getting my 2G years and years ago. Still got them now, and neither of them are remotely damaged .
I always use screen protectors, I need to get some for my iPhone. I've always had one on my Touch and the screen is immaculate because of it.
I have never been able to apply a screen protector correctly withought air bubbles popping up all over. Question: Does any one think that having an invisible shield screen protector on the front and a case on the back is a pretty good combo? I'm thinking of doing this for my iPod touch 4.
That's what I was planning on doing, though I'm probably going to use this along with the Speck case I ordered.
Now i've heard that the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 has a oleophobic screen which is supposed to eliminate fingerprints. Does the iPod Touch have this as well? I have an iPod Touch 2G 8GB MC (Late 2009)
doesn't eliminate it's supposed to be fingerprint resistant. doesn't work well. also wears off over time
It works well if you wear it out all the time, but generally, it will stay put. I'm sure that Apple didn't take a step backwards, the iPod touch 3G had an oleophobic coating, and I see no reason why the iPod touch 4 wouldn't either. EDIT : Oh, the iPod touch 2G doesn't have the oleophobic coating, BTW.
Do I know without a doubt? No, but there is no reason why it wouldn't. The 3G had it, why wouldn't the 4 have it?
Oh! It said it on the Tech Specs page, specifically. The 8GB model didn't because it was fundamentally the same as the one that was released in 2008.
