SCRAP! was released today but I can't find anything about its gameplay, such as how pieces are rotated and placed on the board (if in the slot or when it is over the board). This reminds me a Palm game named Swizzle that I liked to play to kill some free time. In Swizzle the pieces are rotated in the slot making the gameplay a lot easier. A title with a similar gameplay is BombBlocks but the main problem with this game, apart from being a bit slow, is that the finger gets in the way making it hard to play. It's $4.99 right now so... It better know something about it first. Update: I'll purchase it blindly... Man I can't control myself. Update: First impression: ABOUT GAMEPLAY The goal is to fill a line with tiles (like in Tetris) in one of the 4 sides of the board indicated by a progress bar (once the progress bar is filled the piece goes to the stack). Each time you make a line(s) the side changes randomly. PROS - Nice graphics - Nice gameplay - Music is OK (can be repetitive) CONS - One game mode - No options - No tile sound when e.g. placed over the board - No Undo (useful since you can place a tile by mistake due the touch interface) - No way to force a tile to be placed on the stack (you have to wait for the progress bar) - No help at all (I still don't know what it takes to change a level) - No special tiles - No online high score FINAL WORD If you like puzzles and enjoy Tetris than this game may be worth. Right now $4.99 seems to be a bit high for a game that is not so polished due the CONS above. Things like Undo, game modes, sounds and help are essential for such price tag.
