and some more bugs on the Website (small ones this time): Link You can see them better on the real website!
Hi, feedback defintely noted. Actually, if you look at the logo thread you'll notice I'm slowly "rebranding" to a colorful theme instead of the blue on black theme. The game itself matches both themes so haven't decided yet. -from iPhone
How much will the game be? I'm trying to figure out my minimum budget for App Store shopping this month.
Haven't quite decided that yet, but you're welcome to read my thoughts on pricing in this TA article's comments http://toucharcade.com/2009/06/26/more-sales-on-fast-furious-knights-on-rush-and-fast/
2.99$ = 2.39 = me happy! I hope I read the right comment. as long as the game isn't 10$ I'll buy it.
Good point you brought up in the article. Anyway, for a game of that caliber, $2.99 seems like the lowest reasonable price point on your part. Long as it's below $7.99, I'd buy it with little hesitation. Heck, if you make decently priced content packs as in-app purchases, I'd probably get those too. I really think indie developers are being abused by the community who insist on dirt-cheap prices.
Well, I think the primary factor that causes pressure to lower price is that Apple ranks apps by units sold, not revenue (units sold * unit cost). I hope that the iPhone market is big enough that saturation is simply not an issue for an indie dev. If that's the case, lowering the price may not hurt revenue. It's just a question of if a $1 app gets more or less than twice the amount of sales a $2 app gets. I would give anything to know the answer to that last question, btw.
Well don't start at a price of 1$, becaus it makes the game look chap (crappy) for people who don't want to click the link.
Yeah, that's another issue. That would certainly factor in, but would it overcome the increased sales from being 1/2 the price?... That seems like a difficult question to answer... Anyway, haha. SciFly 2 is coming along very well over the last few days. I'm starting to finish features a lot faster than I'm adding them.
From what I have seen of SciFly 2 I'd happily pay $4.99 or more for it. I think $2.99 is the lowest you should go since you have put a lot of work into the game. The website is looking pretty cool but annoyingly I have to scroll down a tiny amount to see the full website (1280 x 1024 screen) although there isn't much you can do about that.
Yeah... but if releasing at a lower price ended up leveraging higher revenue it would be better for gamers and myself. But, I don't know if that's even the case heheh... As you can see, very easy to go around in circles on this @str8LBE Thanks. Although, you seem to be posting basically the same thing everywhere :/
