Social studies, note im still in middle school, and no, it sucks because no movies, only tests...of pirates names and what they did. i keep asking if were gonna learn about the attacks 1 year ago in the middle east
I know how you feel. The fun in a class depends on the teacher, not the topic. Seems like you have a "by the book" one. In algebra 1 and geometry last year (I double up, it was hell getting As in both classes at the same time), I had great, fun teachers that new how to explain the material in a way that kept me from falling asleep. It's probably the reason why I got As. They were just great at their job. Now I have an incredibly crappy and anal teacher for algebra 2, and I'm struggling in that class.
DUDE!!! you guessed it, though she got some b00bies hanging to her waist....but OMG she blows as a teacher
lol, I actually have one of those, too. English teacher. It's the only thing that makes the class worth it. Her voice, though. Agh, makes my ear bleeds. Sophomore year has not been kind. I only like 2 of my teachers this year out of 7 classes.
man, in my school systems...8th grade is like the worst thing ever! geometry with an awesome teacher but who cant control the class, social studies...sucks balls, and la and science are decent...oh well, middle school counts for nothing
I have seen this before. Where was that. Oh yeah, There is a certain "Lord of the Flies" theme to this thread.
well just about all my teachers have said that they mean nothing..except geometry...haha but im all in 8th grade for extra activities! boring as hell school day, then since im the president like i get called down and miss class constantly ahah love it
How are you in all AP but only in Algebra 2 Sophomore year? At my school, the top math class sophomore year is Pre-Calc and even that is not AP yet...
Where do you live? I don't think [or didn't know] that Geometry was taught in grade school, because isn't it required that Geometry is taken before Algebra 2?
Yeah, it goes Algebra 1 in 7th, Geometry in 8th, Algebra 2 in 9th, and so on... That is pretty common around my area... Tennessee if you care.
I see, never heard of that before. I thought/think Algebra 1 was the highest class offered. Then again, I do live in CA
Haha, yeah it's pretty common here. Nice to know that somewhere in TN can compete nationally even though most of it is full of idiots.
Clearly you haven't been to CA Nah but its still my favorite state..but yea I'm pretty sure CA is one of the lower ranking states in terms of education [and God knows what else]
You'd actually be surprised the amount of good school is California... And that's how it went for my system as well; Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2.
Hmmm? No, I'm not in any APs yet (well, apparently chem 2's being taught out of an AP chem book, so idk if that counts), just honor classes. Next year is when the hard classes start rolling in. AP history, English, Bio, Chem, Physics, music theory, you name it.
My AP english class isn't that hard. Getting AP credits for something you've been doing for years such as english related activities isn't as bad you think.
