SO I won a few promo codes over the last couple weeks. YAY But I live in Canada. It seems that iTunes isn't a big fan of the place. I tried entering the promo code sand I wasn't surprised when it said it wouldn't work outside the US. So I emailed Apple, asking what was up, and they said that the promo-codes are only for US residents (WTF?) Then the woman who was helping me issued 5 free song credits to my account (which I didn't really need anyways as I buy almost all my music from mp3.com) So I figured... what the hell... I bought 5 songs and got the bill to my credit card for 5 dollars. Apparently she forgot. still, i don't understand why promo codes only work in one country at a time.
If you don't have iTunes credit on your account what would possibly make you think that the songs you were buying would be free?
Call them up and complain. REMEMBER BE NICE!!!!! Yelling or making fun of them will get you nothing but you can also e-mail them by going into you itunes receipt then click complain (under where it lists the song you bought). And then list your complaint. Oh and the fact that the codes only work in us is dumb! I think they should work in both us+canada because every other coupon i have used says (good in us and canada) Once again another way apple i killing us. one peace at a time. Hope that helps. Pm me for other questions. and good luck!
So here's what I did to get around this for us canadians Go to iTunes and make a account with no credit payment from let's say newyork then just google it to find out postal codes ect.. Voilà! You've now got an account to redeem promo codes!
Yes. Its easy. Google "itunes account no credit car" Here you go, life made easier http://lmgtfy.com/?q=itunes+account+no+credit+card
lol ok i made the account too bad i gave back the promo codes as i thought they were useless to me (the good samaritan i am) better luck next time
