I have an SD device (iPod Touch 3G), and I've played enough 3D games to notice a pattern in graphics; apps that are universal or compatible with both HD and SD devices look worse than the games made back in 2009 and 2010 when the retina display was not yet released. For example, Let's Golf 2 looks a hell of a lot better than the more recent freemium title. Also, Super Monkey Ball 2 looks great compared to many other cartoon-ish 3D games I've tried recently. So is it true that scaling down HD games results in horrible anti-aliasing on non-HD devices?
