Earlier this year we launched Say What You See: Music Fest, and it did really well (#3 paid app in the UK!). Now we're back with the Say What You Sequel, 'Say What You See: The Collection', featuring Scary Movies.

If you didn't play Say What You See: Music Fest, it's a fresh take on the hidden object genre, returning to the classic principles of Rebus puzzles by challenging players to pick out band names amongst an intricately detailed, hand-painted scene packed full of puzzles, originally created in oil paint on canvas by UK artist Aime Bolissian. Each scene or (iCanvas) has a unique theme.

We were planning to release a new iCanvas as a separate app every month, but the overwhelming feedback we got was that people wanted one app they could download new iCanvases into. So that's what we've done.

Unfortunately, we had to create an entirely new app to do that, which is why it's taken a bit longer to get the new release out than we'd hoped. But there's tons of awesome new stuff in there:

    • 2 downloadable iCanvases available at launch
    • A new free-to-play 10 puzzle iCanvas every month.
    • 40 additional new puzzles available every month via in app purchase
    • A re-worked scoring system
    • Full Game Center compatibility
    • Unique achievements for every canvas
    • Retina-quality screens
    • A free-to-play bonus puzzles section, updated every month.

The bonus puzzles section in particular is awesome, a copy of Amie's sketchbook to flick through, with free puzzles promoting the next month's iCanvas:

There are two canvases available at launch, Scary Movies, and Books 2 Film. You get one Deluxe 50 puzzle canvas with the app (you can choose which) and you can download the 10 clue standard edition of the other for free.

They both look awesome - here's the trailer for the Scary Movies Canvas:

The app will be launched on 23rd October (Just in time for Halloween!)

Love to hear your thoughts on what we've done!
