Thanks! We built a 3D frame for the dragon, animated it in 3D, rendered it, then painted pixels over it.
Make me part of the people who thought that! That game looks really polished and fun. I'm a sucker for pixel art, I can't stop saying it. Hopefully it'll be a premium title or lite version with full-unlock IAP. Looks awesome, will have to give it a try.
One of the best pixel art I have ever seen! Really excited for this game, day one download for sure!!
gotta ask... which zelda? cuz the ol' underdog, "Adventure of..." will always have soft spot in this heart. i'll fight anyone who says different! #
Hey Oneironaut! Sorry for the late reply! We'll be doing our inventory management much like Zelda, but the action will be like Link (upthrust, downthrust etc. I'm a fan, too! There's no shield, but your staff doubles as a shield. No magic, but you'll pick up tech that requires charge. We've also got a boomerang. But the big similarities end there. The game will be quest driven, with 3-4 villages to explore and pick up quests...so there's a bit of Link/Simon's Quest similarity there. Also, we have a new banner! Thanks so much for all the kind words, I really hope you love the mechanics when we finally get them done. More to come, stay tuned!
The next steps are a Kickstarter, in the next 6-8 months. Then a demo, then alpha, beta, then a PC/Console release. Then we'll have a much better idea of when we can port to iOS/Android.
In my mind, mobile will happen regardless of the Kickstarter outcome. It's just a matter of time; the more funding we can get, the faster we can get to an iOS/Android release.
Another fun thing you can do with your bo staff is throw it at things! Throw it at your foes for even more fun! Here's our first super simple puzzle, too. There will be many drop-down bridges, ladders and platforms that you can use to access new areas, shorten your path, or retract to stop pursuers!
