I want to, but i dont really play on the PC anymore except for LOL. I'm really looking forward to Savant on the ipad though. Seeing your imps there makes me a bit more impatient. :D

Honestly, playing the PC version makes me worry about the iOS version a little bit. Just based on complete assumption, I'm guessing the control scheme will be swipe left, right and up to move, and tap (and hold) anywhere on screen to aim, shoot and charge up. The thing is, the game has secondary shooting with the right mouse button, so I don't quite know how that'll be worked around on iOS. I'm just a tad bit afraid the PC version will be the definitive version, but I don't want it to be. :p I know this thing is staying on my device forever.

EDIT: Oh, and one thing I haven't mentioned? The music's insane. Even being a straight up metalhead, I'm quite blown away by Savant. This guy's dubstep is amazing.

Aaaaaaand, there's a reason to replay the game once it's over...no spoilers there. ;) :p

The only thing this game needs to be perfect is an endless mode. :D

You know, that could definitely work. If was made as an unlockable mode which merely requires finishing the game off once, then there's no need to explain what's happening. Just have it called something silly like "Going Up?" and it would just consist of the "elevator" segment of the game or the first segment followed by the elevator. ;)

Wait the whole game isn't on the elevator? That's what I saw in the trailer and assumed it would be Knightmare Tower-esque, you atop the elevator, dodging enemies and attacks, etc

So there's more to this game than that?

Without spoiling anything at all, yes...there's more to the game than just that. :) It starts somewhere and ends somewhere. Even though it's a short game, it's a complete one. Storyline, bosses, everything. ;)

For me to be gushing about something that was a summer project for D-Pad Studio...essentially a tribute to their buddy, Aleksander (Savant)...that's just crazy. Nothing here feels out of place, everything little thing serves a purpose and is well thought-out. The concept and execution, to me at least...seem flawless.

Have you played Knightmare Tower? How does it compare to it gameplay wise? Besides having different control schemes.

Yep, I have. :) They're incomparable. There's really nothing in common between the two games other than an...ascent. The closest thing to Savant's gameplay would probably be that of ZiGGURAT, except you can move left, right and jump in Savant. It's hard to describe really...there's definitely something very shmup-y about it. You're best off checking out the trailer. :p

Nope. :p I think had D-Pad Studio registered an account before the developer portal was hacked, the game might've already been out.

Omgosh. I just realized, this game is probably based of of Savant's (awesome dubstep / electronic DJ) music. Colour me excited.

Game is out on Android via their website as well as the Humble Bundle store. A tweet last night said it would be on the Play and App Store's "shortly". Surprise weekend release?

I had some issues with the controls at first (needed to reboot my device) and had e-mailed the dev before I realized that they were fixed. I asked when the iOS version would be available and will post here when I get a response.

As for the Android version, which I assume will be the same on iOS, it's really fun! Takes a bit of getting used to the controls vs. the PC version.

Aiming is done by touch and movement has three options: swipe, swipe on the border or tilt.

Swiping works fairly well, but, again, I tried the PC version and it is easier with dedicated keys. That said, it's still very much playable.

MC's comparison to ZiGGURAT is a good one, but this is way better IMO and not easy. I still haven't gotten to where the elevators begin to move!

As I play some more, I'll try to come back with more impressions of the touch screen version, but at this point, I'd say it's a winner.

Heard back from the Dev. Hopes to submit the game to Apple in about a week, but couldn't promise that.

Good enough. I mean they are kind enough to give us that at least. So here's to hoping!

It's all a matter of when the developer portal opens up again. C'mon Apple!

FWIW price is $1.99 on Humble Store for PC edition (including Android and any future Mac/Linux releases). Thanks to awp69.
