I just saw this earlier and almost laughed my ass off. Not cause someone died, but because this should be happening more often. Any idiot willing to participate in this deserves to have their skin fall off straight from thier bones.
heard about this on stan lees super humans tv show on discovery. this guy who has won it for last few years.. was tested etc.. this year he got burnt, and one guy died is all they said at the end of the show.. i was surprised they even had this as a sport, let alone why would you want to compete in it.. seems boring with out least some music!!// or some cute womens!! chris.
This is trying to compete with that show where they hire people to perform extremely nasty (sometimes life-threatening) pranks on unsuspecting celebrities and video-tape it.
That article failed to mention the organizers of the event has now cancelled it permamently. As ridiculous as it was in the first place, at least they're not stupid enough to keep on torturing people now they've seen the light.
The sauna contest will be held the next year The sauna contest will be held the next year. A local (very useless) "celebrity", will arrange it. Tho it's not said that it won't be held in Heinola. They never said that they would quit it. Only the organizer of world sauna championships said that it's their last time they organize it. So stupid people will still burn themselves. I just hope they check the rules and make it safe...... well as safe as it can be.
