The game is greatly improved by the update and I bought episode 2 as a result. I love the new timing based power up. So much better!
Wow what an update! I didn't think that the tapping constantly had put me off but it must have as I've only put in around 6 hours before the update. And after playing again with the new update It's gave it a whole new life again, im loving the bigger hit window for the punching (actually makes punching a viable attack now) and the three different charging options are really cool. question: how long before the endless battle mode will arrive? Also any news on the soundtrack as I need to buy it (preferably on iTunes) I'd vote it as best game soundtrack for an iOS game any day. Well off to stop commander hood again Oh and can't wait for chapter 3 transformers are my top favourite thing (I've got the autobots and decepticons logo tattoo's on my arm)
Gah, can't beat the two yuppie types at the end of the school chapter....I can't do damage fast enough before they heal....tips?
Focus all your attacks on Benjamin as he is the only one that can heal. Also, the fewer attacks you use on Benjamin the easier Nimajneb will be to defeat after you beat Benjamin.
Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and let you know that a "Deluxe" edition of the game will be releasing on Thursday. Don't be alarmed by that - we're not outmoding the free version or even giving the deluxe edition extra content. The deluxe edition is just a paid version of the game which will grant the player any and all future paid content updates for free. This includes all the upcoming episodes (of which we still don't have an idea of how many there will be). We didn't want to release the deluxe version until we had finished up all the episodes but realized that our Kickstarter backers and reviewers would have had no way to update their deluxe editions until the game was released on the app store. In order to solve that problem we've really got no choice but to put the deluxe edition on the store. It is priced at $5.99 right now since we can't guarantee any specific episode count beyond Episode 4. If you've already started buying episodes from the free app, don't worry - as you buy more episodes we'll start giving you discounts or free episodes to match the deluxe edition pricing.
That's awesome Josh thank you! I like how die-hard fans can just jump in and not have to worry later and more casual players can have at it lunchroom ala cart style! Anyways, I'd like to see a way to set a Charge option and leave it for all battles, I must say I'm kind of turned off by having to select it every single time. The achievement could remain if the player completes 3-battles each with a different charge option used. Not a big deal, but I find it really slows down the battle pacing. Otherwise, a fantastic update, SMRPG is freaking awesome!
It actually does save - the icon for charging should change and save to the last option you chose. After you've chosen your preferred option, you can just double tap the battery icon like before (or drag it) to choose the last charge type you used. We didn't really call attention to the charge option saving, though - so it's totally understandable that it went unnoticed.
Oh man :-( will my save carry over to the new version? Even so I already bought chapter 2 so I'm not sure what to do, should I wait and buy the deluxe when chapter 3 comes out or get it now and start levelling argh.
I don't understand this deluxe edition thing at all. If the free version will get free episodes to match the deluxe edition pricing, then what's the point of the deluxe edition? It's just confusing. Seems like a bad idea.
The deluxe edition exists as a way for us to give our Kickstarter backers and reviewers all the episodes for free. Since you can't gift IAPs it was the easiest way to pull off what we needed. It also exists as a way for people to pre-purchase future content and episodes. Like I mentioned previously, we had no intention of releasing the deluxe edition until we had fully completed all the episodes; however, we had to release it to give reviewers/backers a way to update or reinstall the game. The only reason I mentioned free extra content for people who buy stuff out of the free edition is so that people who already bought episode 2 won't feel burned by the release of the deluxe edition. I'm trying to keep everyone happy.
I actually like the idea of the deluxe edition, if you guys do it right the people whom buy it will actually come out ahead (assuming many episodes release) down the road. Meanwhile players can still play the free version and only grab episodes that they want, some may decided to move on after a couple episodes (I hope not) and if they do, they're only out a couple bucks as opposed to the full deluxe price. Sucks you can't gift IAP though.
I think we just figured out what we're going to do with the free version to make sure no one gets left in the dust. With the next update, we're going to add an IAP into the free version that will upgrade it to the deluxe edition. The price for that upgrade will start at $5.99 and will diminish down as you purchase episodes a la carte. It's still a little confusing, once again - we really didn't plan on releasing the deluxe edition. It just kind of has to happen, unfortunately.
Argh I want the deluxe version, I just saw it on the store and the icon looks very nice. So if I just wait I'll be able to upgrade my version ( the free one where I paid for episode 2) to the deluxe version sometime in the future? That would be cool as I wouldn't lose any save data or money. Either way roll on episode 3 I can't wait to see the transformers in action. Question tho will there be transformers based attack stickers? Something like a blaster gunopt a robot transformation attack (like the truck one at the minute)
An independent movie contacted us about using our game to be in a movie. So with the new movie Azienda there is a character playing Saturday Morning RPG!! Right before the scene in the strip club.
