Brad and I are pretty involved in the whole process, we do it every day. Go ahead and check our archives.
Maybe 3 or 4 a month while sanuku does it every wensday not just one game but most if not all new releases.
Ok maybe 6 or 7 lol geez just tell us what's coming out tonight. Guess next thread will be a thank you Eli for TA plays
http://toucharcade.com/category/ta-plays - Take a look at the dates, many more than 6 or 7 a month. Thanks to BOTH Sanuku and Brad/Eli
Not going to lie, I like Brad's and Eli's videos a lot more. They're not mutes, and their shitty/funny convos add another dimension to it all. Also, they record the videos after they've spent some time with the games beforehand already, so they know what they're doing. Jared is part of some of them too, I think. Additionally, the guys on the front page release gameplay videos of big titles that aren't even out yet. For example, one for Punch Quest was just posted.
Definitely would like to add my 'thank you' here to Sanuku for his hard work, as it's always helpful for us to decide what to get as we'll as what to avoid! It's appreciated!
Thank you entire TA staff! There. It's the entire badass staff that make me refresh my iPhone app every 2 minutes and keep a separate browser just for TA tabs when I get home.
I think it's all good either way. I like brads contribution when commenting in TA plays. The entertainment value is definitely higher. Plus we get some sneak peeks which are always handy Sanuku posts up gameplay vids that give us an idea of mechanics and visuals of a game directly on to the release thread. It's very handy when thread jumping. Sanuku and TA plays videos serve two different purposes. I don't personally think one is better than the other. I just think both are very usefull. Which is good.
Yeah, true. I really like that Sanuku uses his own time and resources to give everyone gameplay footage ASAP after new releases are out in NZ. There hasn't really ever been another forum member who's done that before. He never misses a week either.
What really amazes me is the sheer volume of videos that Sanuku puts out. It seems that almost every game out there when I search on Youtube, Sanuku's videos are constantly in the top 10. It must take a hell of amount of time and effort to do that, and I am thankful for having that added resource when it comes down to doing research on whether I want a game or not. Impressive. The sheer volume says it all.
Well if it does, there is no other member here on TA more deserving of that name. Big thanks to Sanuku for making my decisions a lot easier! Thanks to Brad too as well. Eli is meh.
I agree. There's no doubt that what Sanuku does is a great help to the community and he deserves the praise, but he does so many videos that he doesn't get much time to practise beforehand and when I see him make an obvious mistake I end up shouting at the screen Thanks all the same though! The rage is my own fault
Thanks Sanuku. I think your videos are great. I can see how a game plays, without any commentary, and I can decide for myself whether or not I like it. Kinda bums me out that Eli would insert himself in a thank you thread for you, but I guess when it's your toy you get to do whatever you want to do.
