True... perhaps I'll add a second much dimmer light source just to accentuate the sand in any direction for the next update.

That'd be nice, thanks for considering it! My favorite lighting at the moment is the candlelight, so calming... good idea to have it flickering too.

I'm so glad this is out! I just picked up a bunch of apps, but this is definitely on my to-buy list! Good luck with sales!

I hope you enjoy it! Working on adding some updates now :)

Thanks hehe, I'm going to need all the luck I can get with the state of the app store. Basically any sales I have are from friends or from touch arcade.

I'm really loving this application! So far I have but one complaint, the rocks are too easy to select when you are just trying to draw on the sand. So when I'm using a rake and I accidentally pass over a rock, it opens the rock menu. This is not a huge problem, but probably something that could be easily fixed. :)

    Definitely easy to fix...
In fact rock selection is part of the next update. I'll also make the selection region change based off of the size of the rock. :)

Awesome! That will make this app pretty much perfect for what it is :)!

Oh, by the way I really love all the different lighting choices.

I'll have a video review up as soon as I can, or I can wait until the update if you prefer. (I can always mention it and do it sooner than later :))

Okay, sounds good. It might be a few days as I'm sort of overloaded with work right now (and therefore shouldn't be on toucharcade but I am... :p).

Rachel's reviews are good, most YouTube reviews I watch involve some kid saying "uhhh, yeah, so..." way too much and not actually telling me about the game.

Thanks, mine can still get a lot better though :), and hopefully they will over time.

I hate YouTube app reviewers that are like that - they have no formulated ideas and speeches prepared before making a video and they constantly studder because they run out of a single thought and don't want to restart the video.

Anyways, Sand Garden is amazing in its current form. The graphics and lighting effects are what truly makes it stand out. There are enough customization options to customize the garden to your liking - from the type of rocks, size of rocks, angle that rock is placed on the sand, to even the sand color and lighting effects. There are also options to differentiate the streaks in the sand you make, such as different rakes.

Overall, its the simplicity that counts - and Sand Garden is the epitome of relaxing and peaceful apps. It definitely sets the standards out there. My only suggestions would be to add some sound effects or music. Other than that, bravo PDJApps.

This is cool! I love changing the lighting to see the shadows on rocks and sand change.

Looks great! Considering that I have $40 I'll probably get this.

EDIT: Make that $35, I just bought Ravensword. :p

EDIT AGAIN: I couldn't resist, so I bought it. Impressions soon.
