What a gorgeous looking app All I could think while flipping through those screens is "these would make cool looking screen-savers" Good luck and success to you, Richard
Hopefully , seeing as how someone representing Apple had to review/preview the app, (possibly not one of their half-wits) maybe they'll feature it.
Looks very nice as I said before! I don't think I'll be getting this right away but I'll certainly remember it when a get a little more iTunes credit !
Awesome, been waiting for this one. It looks amazing - the lighting, graphics and sand imprints all look superb and very realistic.
It's out now! On the UK store at least, but if AppShopper is showing it I'm guessing it's on the US store too. Just bought it, thanks PDJApps for actually giving us a nice looking icon too. Way too many devs get lazy on that part.
great app Wow this is so cool! Ive been waiting for an app like this for so long and none of them were worthy of purchasing. The details of SandGarden make it really entertaining. I don't see myself ever getting bored with it. It's a classic!
This looks really good from the screenshots and video. Graphics look like they are very polished and realistic. Is there an option to listen to your own music?
Agreed. Future feature suggestion: high-res (up to 2560x1600) image export? You could use them as wallpapers, or run a slideshow of them as a screensaver. Sounds tough thoughrendering something that looks good at such a high res would be a whole different animal from rendering to 480x320. But I can dream
Hehe, I like the idea actually... first step is to build in landscape and portrait screenshot ability though
I don't know if it's just my device or what, but when I drag the rake diagonally up and right, it doesn't make the pattern correctly. It's like the rake isn't digging into the sand enough and instead only makes a really shallow groove. Is that normal?
It's normal. It's a result of the lighting calculation. When the light direction is parallel to the groove direction, there is nothing to shade. If you were to change the lighting you should notice the shading on the sand change
Ah yeah that makes sense. It still looks a little bit odd... even if the light were in that direction in real life, I'd be able to see that there was a line there, it wouldn't be totally invisible.
