Move your finger off the joypad slightly and you stop moving. Most other emulators give you a bit of leeway. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 835 399 63 Male 95% leisure. Like... if those don't work for you, most likely, nothing else will. After all, those are the ones that have been in the works for several years, which means developers are way more experienced and their apps have evolved over a long time. RetroArch I love but I do love the gameboy style buttons on delta and just checking other emulators Mauno Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2010 55 21 8 Male #5 Mauno, May 25, 2024 Precisely because, SameBoy is used by RetroArch to emulate the GameBoy... (SameBoy was create in 2016) Personally, I don't like RetroArch at all and its old-fashioned interface, gas factory. I prefer applications made with love by the real people who worked on the basic project. I also use Delta, simple and beautiful for Nintendo consoles but finally, if I want to play without controllers, I limit myself to the GameBoy and I find that SameBoy does the job perfectly with lots of small options for perfectionists and lovers of Nintendo's first portable console. (And in addition for a few days, with the transition to iOS 17.5.1 I did not have access to AltStore PAL - solved now after several exchanges with the AltStore team). I don't pay attention to core names in RA, so I wasn't aware of SameBoy's origin. So, sorry about that. That explains both, why the developer would bother making the app and why someone would try it, it totally makes sense; thanks. I actually do that with PPSSPP (mostly because I prefer changes being added directly by the developer). And, yeah, RA's UI is not user friendly in comparison to other options and that's why the only system I use it for is PS1. Learned something new today! Mauno likes this. Since Apple opened the door to emulators on the AppStore, we have seen many profiteers install themselves with stolen code and paid app. And that's also why I wanted you to discover SameBoy. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #8 psj3809, May 25, 2024 Delta to me has the best co tells and I love the way you can import skins so when I play gameboy games it looks brilliant SameBoy could be good but again for me the controls let it down. Second your finger slides off the d pad you stop moving RetroArch is brilliant due to all the emulators but the controls aren’t the best but saying all that I love the position we’re in. Finally lots of emulators on the App Store. ! Mauno likes this. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #9 Stronsay, May 25, 2024 Which to choose? Got to collect and compare them all. SameBoy beats Delta for me as it has an iPad app, and looks better than RetroArch. Mauno likes this. We would need a mode including both. The swipe and the D-Pad) ? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #11 psj3809, May 25, 2024 Nah not a fan of swipe. Like I say it’s just mostly increasing the area around the d pad. The delta controls work like a dream I’m enjoying finding new emulators.
