Ya, there was some info but it got deleted at dev's request. Was really vague though. Not gonna re-post here but from the few tweets I saw, Hodapp and quite a few others were claiming this is the best announcement of the E3/WWDC (as far as iOS gaming goes ie). Anyways, if lonnon's assessment is correct, you dont need to wait much longer for more info to show up about the game.
link appears to be broken- what sort of info was given about the game? if it's anything like infinity blade (hoping for free roam) it'll be an instabuy
I don't know if I'm just that ignorant or not but from eli's latest tweet seems like a tie in to sky rim. And if memory serves me right I remember the nutrias rumor miner mentioning that Bethesda would release an iOS game. Thoughts?
When I saw Hodap tweet (with the Skyrim badge photo) I though the very same thing. But I immediately forgot it...you know...I'm trying to keep hype low...
hmm. I thought all those Bethesda iphone rumors had been scrapped? I doubt that this would be a game that ties in to Skyrim. But that's just my opinion.
I dunk check out the photo Eli included in his tweet http://elihodapp.com/the-only-thing-i-care-about-at-e3-excited-for
OMG! I didn't see that!!!! Trying not to get to hyped up but how can you NOT after just seeing that??!!!
Oblivion Skyrim spinoff with Infinity Blade type battles? Sign me up. Hopefully there's free roaming and adventure as well.
This e3 has been awesome so far. One the best in my opinion. Onlive coming to iPad is just awesome and the awesome stuff from wwdc.
A little research and I found this, one year ago. "Bethesda Softworks has announced at a press conference in London today a new entrant into the Elder Scrolls franchise, subtitled Alinor. Details are slim at the moment as Bethesda is remaining tight-lipped, but a few bits of information were provided. The game is due out sometime in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and iPhone. The game is not a direct sequel to Oblivion, though it is an RPG in the Elder Scrolls series; Bethesda has said that you can expect the "same type of game" despite the fact that a different developer is working on it. "Edit (29 July 2010): before you run off to the official forums to report on this unique nugget of information, please take another look at the date this was originally posted and reconsider..."
Still, I think that it is very likely. Put the pieces of the puzzle together: "It's going to be on iPhone"; "It's related to Elder Scrolls" (Obviously it's not going to be related to ES4"; ES5 is about to release; Those pieces make for an awesome looking puzzle.
I will go nuts if this is the real deal. Hopefully, this game will have free-roam and very expansive environments (personally the only place I thought Infinity Blade went wrong). And if it's online like people have been saying...this will be amazing. Hoping for a screenshot or preview or something to emerge soon.
fingers crossed that this is a free roam RPG. If a full(ish) Bethesda game came out as even an iPad exclusive it would sell me on one straight away!
