ughh..... This gona take a while. Hopefully TA posts about ti on the Front Page so that it gets a lot of people.
at its current rate it will take about a month. but as more people start playing, it should speed up drastically. don't forget it has been live for no more than 2 hours.
If they were at 950 two hours ago and they're at 1250 now, that means 150 per hour at this rate. In other words, it'll be about 4.5 months.
Saying I'm a bit underwhelmed would be an understandement. Ok the hype machine. Ok the mini game to unlock 'something'. But they didn't show anything concrete about the game, and at this pace it will take weeks at the best to unveil something (and maybe after 18 month of developing, they're ready...who knows?) If there is something to show. Maybe it's best game in the world (and I'm cetainly not ruling out the idea or hope) but they're sure no Valve and they have to lure much more people to the game. The twitter thing not always function as in Sword&Sworcery (was really brilliant) and sometimes hiding so much something you belive in doesn't always help. It can raise eybrows more than luring more people to the site. At least in my case, hype, if there was any, was really dimished after playing the minigame...it was cool...for about 30 seconds. But I can be utterly wrong, and maybe they already had 1 million unique concacts on Dragonstryfe website, who knows?
It doesn't even work for me. I can have my dragon breathe fire on another dragon for an hour and nothing happens.
I played annoymously and looks like something just isn't working right. I hope this isn't a sign of their expertly crafted netcode. But yea, they need to drop the soul count by about 450,000. To be honest i'd be more impressed if they spent that on an ARG to the likes of The Secret World. That gets people interested.
Do they honestly think that anyone cares enough to put in the effort to unlock a game that they know absolutely nothing about? It seems that all they have succeeded in doing so far is to annoy the handful of people who were vaguely interested in the first place. Their mini-game has practically ground to a halt already with just over 2000 dragon souls captured. And they're aiming for half a million. Good luck with that.
Pretty much. I was vaguely interested, tried to play the stupid minigame, cannot play stupid minigame due to it being broken and terrible. I kill dragons, score does not go up. Every 10 seconds, screen resets. WHAT IS EEN GOING ON?
If you're going to have an online dragon-based mini game, it needs to at least be as good as this one: http://www.homestarrunner.com/trogdor.html And it's not even close.
Yeah I agree. For a game that we know barely anything about, they're asking for too much. Not many people seem to know about it outside of TA, so they need to gain attention some other way. For example by releasing screenshots or a trailer.
It's not that we are terrible (maybe some are), it's the fact that it's just not working. I was on the screen with one other person, i got their health to 0 (suggesting that it does indeed work) but they wouldn't die. Eventually they wittled me down and I died and their score went up. Sometimes when I do manage to kill someone (if it works) my score doesn't go up. The whole thing seems gash. They should have put up a match 3 game with dragons coins spells anything. They'd hit half mil in no time, assuming it would even work. As it stands, i'm dreading what might happen at 500k. If it's hit in my lifetime.
Seems like they're leading us on even more. Half a million? That'll never happen, which I bet they are hoping for
It's gone up all of about 50 since I checked a couple of hours ago. Fail. Just tried to play it again. Still as broken as it was a couple of hours ago... Fail.
If they can't make a simple working browser game, what can we expect of their upcomming iOS game... I myself don't know what all the hype about this is. The concept of the game sounds boaring and old.
