Dang, I thought it was me.. Was first for a while there, but now I see someone has bettered it by 6 seconds.. #
Felt like a waste of money after first purchasing. Was not feeling the controls or the movement of the car. A day later in glad I stuck with it as I'm really enjoying it now that I got the hang of it. Nice job.
Is there a control scheme where I can have constant acceleration and just steer and brake? It is hard to use left right and also press gas at same time. Don't like the tilt controls. Otherwise love this game and the graphics!!! Definite game of week winner!!
Sorry if this has already been asked, I'm a fan of Colin McRae Rally - how does this compare? I'm on the fence about purchasing unless it is significantly better - opinions ??
My personal opinion is this is way better. CMR feels slippery and floaty, whereas this feels like the cars have weight and proper handling. I'm a huge fan of codemasters but I feel that they haven't put much love into their mobile games.. Rush Rally 2 is again in my opinion the best rally game on mobile! And it's the TA game of the week! Awesome stuff!!
I have both, and think that this game's handling feels more realistic than CMR. Also I have a controller, so the fact that this has controller support is a big win over CMR. This also has far more car tuning options than CMR. Before trying this game I would have said CMR was the best rally racer on iOS, but not anymore.
Great, you have to remember I've changed the benchmark here, gone for realism over arcade handling. You have to adjust your mind set a little because other Rally games are just a big slidey float fest, this requires uses of the handbrake and brake alot more, and also feathering of the throttle on corners, much like driving a real rally car (from my limited experience of driving them they are a lot grippier than people think!). Also you'll get understeer, oversteer, different feelings for each surface, the car has weight to it, it's quite a detailed sim! You'll notice a big difference between the cars, the mini (also unlocked at the start) will be real twitchy and light compared to the lancia for example. Cheers for the GOTW too toucharcade, it has made my weekend!
What kind of GTi, there are a few out there (Golf, which Mk?) I have a few cars planned in an update but haven't confirmed them yet!
Well, thanks for your recommendations - I bought the game and I agree, it is an amazing rally game for iOS! I hope the game does well for the dev, it is deserved
Huuuuge rally fan here. Colin McRae I grew up with, and nothing has done it for me till Dirt Dally and... Rush Rally 2. Remarkable achievement, really. It is great. However, it's clearly better with an MFi controller - to me. A couple of requests: 1.) Graphics upgrade for iPad Pro users etc. It's clearly not running native res on iPad Pro 12.9, which is a shame. I'd also like to see the shadows not drawing in as late as they do, especially on iPad Pro and iPhone 6s which can handle this with ease. Road textures and car textures could look a little more nuanced, too. Not much texture work going on there. Hm. That might be it for now, since the multiplayer has been addressed already. Well done, sir. The gameplay is aces, and this is EASILY the best rally game on iOS. Colin McRae on iOS is an abomination, especially by comparison. The camera is set too low, and no controller support. Rush Rally 2 is where it's at.
Hi Fantastic game. Can't believe it's running on iOS. On newer iPads it's even smoother. Superb game, feels like console quality. One question - I see replays in the teaser videos online, but can't see how to access them in the game? Also, I love bonnet cam, always been my fave view in racing games. Not that it's essential, but can you do an in car view?? Again, superb game. I've spread the word to all my pals.
Great stuff thanks! I need to get my hands on one of those 6s' really and push the limits out abit, shadows are probably doable easily but to up the res is going to be a stretch *maybe* it could handle 1080p on those devices, but console games until the latest generation have struggled with 1080p and that with a huge graphics chip!
I recorded that teaser in attract mode with the HUD off, just leave the game alone for 20s on the main menu and it will demo the game. Replays and in-car view have been added to the ever increasing list
Great game, the "feel" of the cars is spot on and I really like the balance of the inter-stage repair opportunities. I started off going into everything full bore expecting a watered down 'on rails' arcade experience. I was wrong and thankfully so. I date back to Lombard RAC Rally (I think that's what it was called, Atari ST?) so I am a sucker for quality rally games and this is one.
