OK Beta version has gone live, let me know if you have any problems with it earlier rather than later to ensure it goes live next week
I'm not sold on the handling of the Quattro replica yet, it is light (at ~1060Kg) so it is very nimble, but hard to tame! Also the VW replica I have moved the centre of mass quite near the front and it is very over steer happy, which some people may love!
Oh my, I LOVE the Quattro!!! It's beautiful. It is a bit tricky handling wise, feels a bit of an understeerer, but it is awesome..... Thank you so much for building it! Gotta go play some more ###
I may tweak it a little bit more and do a quick interim build before next week anyway. At least the main update bits are there. (I can see people requesting a controllable camera in replays now too lol!)
So far I'm digging the Quattro's handling. VW sounds good, too. I won't have it unlocked for a bit, but I love me some oversteer.
Adding these cars has certainly meant people will need to play the other game modes now too BTW did the achievements trigger for you all?
Replays of everyone's ghosts, or just our own? Would love to watch replays of some of the top of the leaderboard times in time trial. I thought I was going to hold Finland Stage 2 for a while with 1:08.5. Not sure if I can find another half second in there. Better try again... --Andrzej P.S. My brother will not be happy, he spent ages getting the top times in Finland! he is now at number 7!! So you set stage 2 in a blue evo-replica, rapid!
(Twinsubishi, I should stop now) I did indeed, really like that stage. More like low level flying for the second half. The bump on the apex of the second to last corner always gets me, can never decide if I should go around or risk spinning.
I think tonight i will do a pass on the audio volumes too, the engine sounds are far too low, all i end up hearing is the transmission whine.
Any crashes or serious issues/difference noticed by anyone yet? Quite nervous about releasing this one so close to when I go on holiday!
Only crashes I've seen are due to my driving. I did notice that the sticky button bug I had in the past is fixed, really gad to see that. The camera does clip through walls on the camera angle that changes positions. VW is so fun to drive! I love that thing.
