I've heard of this from another device, as a stop gap,if you open the task manaber (double press home) and kill the app (slide it up), you can then run it again without the problem and without uninstalling and reinstalling. I think i have a solution for this that will be coming in the week. Also I'm looking into the time errors now, which are really annoying as this is stuff that hasn't changed since the first RR and is flawless in that!
OK those dodgy times, I have a hunch they have come from the attract mode looping around (basically the main car in that setting times). What I'm going to do is verify this, and then put something in to stop it, aswell as also putting in some general safety bits for the times too!
Sorry to inform you,i've never let the game go into attract mode.....And all games in skill mode still show as "passed" (crabman club). My problem started playing the "roadworks 1" level.I eventually got a good time of around 56secs,went back to the menu and noticed the time says 1:01.320 NOT 56 sec.......And all levels showed as "passed" (with crazy times) All other times in rally, time attack & rally cross are unaffected for me.It's just the skill games that have gone crazy.
One problem is definitely attractive mode doing single laps, but there is another issue with retry too. I'm working on a fix now!
Yep.Come to think of it,retry could be the issue.Because i definitely used it about 9-10 times during that level. Good luck.....And boy, what a game! Awesome.
Thanks for the level headed criticism. It's this sort of discussion that makes me love this forum so much. So, what do I like about this game specifically? Well, it might be better to ask: what do I expect from a racing game, what do I expect from a rally game, and how does this game match up? From a good racing game I expect responsive predictable controls (60fps goes a long way to making this happen), realistic handling, competitive computer drivers, a range of tracks and modes, some sort of progression as my skills increase. From a good rally game I expect a range of scenery, driving conditions, weather, a range of increasingly more powerful cars, a range of increasingly more difficult times to beat. RR2 gets all of these right in my eyes. My gauge of a good rally game is if I'm on the edge of my seat trying to beat target times, and if every time I don't it's down to me making mistakes. A rally game is a game of self improvement as much as it is a game of racing. Graphically it's good enough for me. Of course with a team of art people it could look better but remember that this was made by essentially one guy.
Ok, thanks for the quick answer. Well, I updated to ios 9.3.2 (I noticed that I didn't had the latest ios) and the problem seems solved.
My iPhone 6 Plus will not allow me to update the OS. It will download, but will not install. I get a " not able to verify this phone" notice. The last version I was able to install is iOS 9.2. It does not matter that I have plenty of space to update. It just does not work!
iPhone6 will, haven't tried myself on mini 2, the graphics scale with the device anyway, and you can also tweak the setup as you see fit! Don't expect to run full graphics and framerate on the original iPad Mini though!
This game was my weekend. Nothing better than PB Cap'n Crunch my new puppy, and OG Kush. Gaming on a beautiful day. Brownmonster, Dirt Rally is my favorite steam game. I don't know how, but you have created a better experience by far. Download size is staggering first of all. Bought it for the phone before I got home (a 37 year in flip flops @2 am inside of Albertsons, not wanting to leave because of the wifi). I then proceeded to engage in an argument with my wife about why I'm in the driveway after work, sitting inside of my running Audi, with this game blaring out of the Bose. On an iPad Pro 12", with Mfi in the menus, perfect frame rate, achievements, customizable UI, weather effects, damage and wear..... A work of love and art. Bravo!
Awesome game I download this for my flight from the UK to US and back and it help pass the time. Such a great game from just one person and like has already been said a small download and install size. I plays well on my iPad mini 3 and iPhone 5s both on IOS 9.3.2 not tried it on my 6s plus yet but I will do soon. Just left a review in the app store too. Well done on this one and I also loved the first one too.
Cheers, one of my clients just did the same, he took a lot of convincing to buy it before he went, and then I got a single word message from him when he got off the plane the other end: "WOW"!! OK so my end the dodgy times will not longer show on theleaderboards, I've added a tolerance on all the tracks too so it should be fine. anyone who is deemed to have set a dodgy time will have their data removed and they will have to complete the track again (which I think is fair TBH). I need to give this a good ole testing and then pass it through the apple review too. I've also got a sneaky fix which should stop the buttons sticking. I'm probably going to submit the build tomorrow morning before I start work, so you have until then to send me notice of any other glitches that you want fixed for the next build. Also are there many people with iOS 7.0 who are still waiting (I could possibly squeeze this in too)
Small leaderboard glitch in crabman cup... I played airstrike 1 and got 1min 7secs, but it posted my time on the next track (roadworks 1) leaderboard instead of the track I played. Sorry BM!
