BTW the release date is still "Top-Secret" and definitely in May! You will all know when it comes out though so don't worry (I'll let toucharcade know slightly more in advance too!)

Just played the game as I updated it the other day, runs very smooth, no crashes, deffo need to advise people to run the auto graphics detection as when I did it changed all the settings to max which were not on by default.
Superb game overall though, well done, you had it pretty nailed when you released your first beta to be honest. Than you for letting me join your beta testing :)

I just put in my first session after a long time away, hopped right in and the perfect controls made me feel right at home. It's like I had been playing this whole time. Also, I felt a real sense of speed which I don't think was quite there yet the last time that I had played. It's there now, and it is awesome.

I decided to play with the map and icons off and actually listen to the co-driver. It felt really satisfying and I was able to focus more on my lines. I highly recommend turning them off to anyone that is relying on them. That mixed with the transparent buttons make it really immersive.

Had the left button get stuck a few times. It's a shame you can't reproduce it, but I understand it's damn near impossible to find and fix if you can't make it happen on your end.

Best of luck, BM, can't wait for launch!

    Cheers!

What device are you running, I have done a lot of optimisations since I "set" the graphics per device, I've also tried to set them based on the worst case scenario (so Rally cross with 6 cars, raining, dark). At least you have the options there to tune it as you see fit :)

    Thanks again!

The latest iPod Touch and an iPhone 6S. And it's not often you get graphics controls in iOS games so they are very much appreciated.
I think you've made the Real Racing of rally driving games, nice and in depth with lots of options and good handling physics.

The aim was to be the best of its type, so hopefully it will get recognised by the rest of the world and sell well. If that happens then there will be more to come for sure!

It is quite cool playing like this! I'm hoping I can get a cockpit view or something going in the near future as well, it will probably be a "stock" in car view the same for all cars to start with as I am art limited, anyway thats a while off yet!

Very nice to hear, BM. cockpit view ftw!!! My preferred view for all racers. Just when I thought this game couldn't possibly get any better.

Just caught up on 12 pages of this thread. So excited for launch!

I just tested Apple TV latest beta (a could of weeks old) and it works great with my Horipad Ultimate controller. I switched on controller after starting the game and it wasn't recognised so I force quit the game and relaunched it and then the controller was recognized. I've been unable to reproduce that so don't worry too much!

I've been playing Dirt Rally on PS4, and was afraid to come back to this but I needn't have worried! It plays beautifully, controls beautifully (Touch, gamepad, and Siri controller alike!) and more importantly gives me real Sega Rally vibes.

    Top work Mr Brown!

So that's where you have been ;)

Dirt Rally was always a worry "graphically" for me to deal with, but at the end of the day these are two completely different markets so it shouldn't be a problem! I think RR2 feels better to play though (Biased OFC! I love all the cockpit shake and stuff in Dirt which I would love to utilise in RR2 one day)

I've just thrown out another beta with some bug fixes in it. Mainly including the music mixing one so you can play music from other apps at the same time. Also it has a re-enabled lensflare which works fine since all the optimisations. Let me know what you think anyway!

Is anyone else finding this update chewing through battery really fast? It's strange, I was showing about 1/3 battery remaining, did one stage and I'm now showing red and almost out...
I shall recharge and see what happens.. Cheers..
    Otherwise, freakin beautiful!!!

I'll keep an eye on it... I know the battery level display isn't really accurate, so after a proper recharged I'll have a play and see where it's at.. Love the lens flare btw

Glad you noticed the flare, I think it is subtle enough to do the job :)
