I was playing it last night and although far from content complete, Its certainly at a point where i'd like to at least show off what is going on
As always, a small update! Its been with a VERY select few for a week now, and I've got 3 critical issues to sort out on various devices, which i'm aiming to sort by tonight. The good news is though whilst I was waiting for feedback I've managed to slip in the physical (that is the behaviour) from damage, so if you wrap your car around a tree now, expect a wheel axle to snap Once those are sorted, it'll be available to a few more people first, and then based on their feedback I'll released the beta to all who applied! Ste
In waiting for another Apple build to get approved, I added an Attract Mode to the game, leave it on the main menu and it will automatically load up a random level and show you a race from some cool camera angles. Hopefully one to use so people can snag some good screenshots!
Evening, I have added another few to people to the very small active beta test. Once I am happy with feedback from them I will roll out to a few more. For those who have received an invite, I'm looking for the following feedback if possible: - Performance and device, I want to know how well it performs and the settings it chooses. This also includes letting it run through the attract mode if possible. - If you can connect to gamecenter and/or facebook, even though the code is stilll the same from Rush Rally I'd like to make sure it still works. - Handling, I know this is subjective, but all the cars are setup the same at the minute, I will be changing all the setups shorty and scaling speeds, however there is no harm letting me know what you think so far (yes the handbrake is a little twitchy at the minute ) - Championship mode is still a big WIP, it will work but its not balanced at all, also the tracks are not final, I need to add some more graphical stuff (more things of interest other than trees!) Looking forward to some feedback!
I don't have any pads yet for iOS, I've written the code but I'm not confident enough to turn it on yet as its untested. For android I simply plugged in my PS3 pad but I don't think you can do that with iOS.
Attract Mode Here's a little montage I just made by sitting and watching the Attract mode for about 30 minutes! Enjoy This has a few more camera angles and bug fixes to the version that is currently Beta to the people who have it (like headlights on all the cars which I only noticed tonight!)
iPhone 6 - It auto-detects graphics settings and puts everything at max, including the resolution. Struggles a little. iPad Air 2 - It auto-detects graphics settings and puts everything at max, resolution at 62%. Runs butter smooth. I cranked the resolution to 100%, and it's still really smooth. The dirt kicking up can slow it down a tad. Especially in bonnet cam and I spin out lol.
