Hey BM, any chance of a sequential gearbox via 3D Touch that you could throw into a build for me to play around with. Thanks, as always. Implemented by hard press on accelerator to up shift or maybe a quick break of throttle to go up and break in braking to run down through the bag.

I'm not forgetting this, especially as the poll at the top is not showing expected results! I just have a plan to get the actual game finished first! It will happen at some point!

Not rlly sure if you can integrate the way that seems most feasible to me but from a user standpoint a quick break throttle tap to go up and same for braking. I foresee the downs working something like this, heavy stab to scrub off most of speed followed by a few quick taps to get down to desired gear. The 3D Touch is making less sense the more I've thought about it. I kno you'll do your level best. Cheers bro

Its a real tricky one to get right, especially as I tend to touch the screen quite hard! Also I find myself feathering the throttle a lot on corners which could result in a gear change. I was wondering if a button somewhere could work (or even just anywhere on the screen) that when pressed, will change up if accelerating, down if braking.

Would swiping work? Swipe up on the accelerator to change up through the gears and down (either on accelerator or brakes, accelerator may be better as you wouldn't have to release the brake). Not sure, but in my brain it seems feasible

Swiping may just work in general anywhere on the screen (so either hand?) it's worth looking into!

I also feather the throttle quite a bit and I imagine a lot of people will as well, so tapping wouldn't be ideal. An extra button would work but it's looking like swiping might be the best way to go.

I think GPS post above is a great way of implementing manual shifting. Swiping up and down on the accelerator (or close by it) is a great idea! Additional icons would just muddy up the screen and would impede the beautiful graphics that we all enjoy in the first place. Great idea GPS! However, I am oblivious to the programming side of things and the difficulty of implementing such a task. I would love to be flicking gears down a long straight and then need to down shift a couple times to get sideways and make the corner! Loving this idea!!!:)

So rallycross is pretty fun, this is with 20 cars on a PC, But iOS/android will probably be 8 max, I've not tested it yet!

If I'm not wrong there are six cars in actual rallycross races.
I played rallycross in DiRT Rally and it's so much fun! :)

I completely agree that swiping sounds most practical.

    Thanks!

Apple TV is a must really if I want to get any chance of having this featured on the app store, so it will need to be done!

So last night I nailed down all the rally cross tracks, they just need sprucing up with some art work now, but before that I'm going to see if I can get a built out to you all so you can at least have a "first" hands on, also I can get a grip on how competitive the AI are for you all then.
