Excellent! This sounds and looks awesome!!! This just keeps getting better and better, and with Monte this weekend, I'm amped up for some rallying. Cheers
Build submitted, just waiting on the green light again now. Might happen some time today! Although I've just noticed that motion blur isn't working on my ipod touch, looks like i've optimised it away...
The version you have should work, its just not as good as it should be. You have turned it on in the options?! If you pause the game when running at speed and toggle it you should see a difference.
Subtle = less sick inducing! It does make it feel that bit faster! Like I said its much improved in the latest version although not working on my iPod touch. I fixed it last night so I will push another version today with the fixes. Other than that 1.28 has just been unleashed. expect a quick 1.29 with the motion fixes soon.
Have only checked out the new build for a few minutes so far, but I can already see the co-driver is much better. I'll put in some more time today and come back with more feedback.
Ah yeah, I'm looking forward to when I'm ready to shut the map and icons off. I love that kind of immersion.
I have briefly played the latest build seems good but it did crash to the home screen after I clicked Go to race on one occasion.
I'll check the crash logs thanks! I think on the whole the game is pretty much there now, just need to finish the mini games and Rally Cross off.
Just played Stage 2 in Sweden Class D, had a couple of stutters on my iPod Touch, but smooth overall. Hasn't crashed back to the home screen. Stage 3 was fine no issues at all. Thank You SSOOOOOO much for choosing to go premium on the pricing too It will be nice to have a cool racing game where I can restart the race without repair / service time penalties
I've finally finished all the UI and flow for the skill games and rally cross modes, I just need to finalise the tracks and modes that I'm keeping in now. GPS/Crabman/Richard I hope you don't mind that I named a trophy after you because you gave me a lot of feedback during the main development time of this game Really Nearly there and then its onto the next Rush game I also entered Rush Rally 2 into the international Mobile Gaming Awards for this year, lets hope it gets nominated! (for those who don't know about this it can be found here http://www.imgawards.com) When I'm closer to a new build with the new game modes I'll let you know, then its just all about playing it an optimising it a bit! Oh and settings price tag!
I'm all about getting the customer a fun and value for money experience, none of this "Rip you off with IAP nonsense" that the big developers like to use! The problem is I still don't know if it is a viable business model on mobile as everyone expects stuff for free these days Having it out on Apple TV will hopefully help this premium model sell too.
I just played a bit more today and the game crashed after repearing my car after the second stage in Sweden. I was about to start the 3rd stage. By the way what setting should I use to have the back of my car drifting slightly more? I feel my car (Mini Cooper) is sticking a bit too much to the road
I'll check the crash logs that I get soon as I have a few reports in. As for oversteer, the general rule of thumb is soften the front suspension setup and stiffen the rear. For example this setup here will make it slide all over (Exaggerated in the picture to show you what I mean, its probably undrivable!)
It may be worth me adding the ability to tune the "amount" of lock you get at speed too to open it up a bit more to induce a slide more. Also try a front brake bias to make the car oversteer on braking.
