still have to try the new version but i remember only one bigger jump followed by a sharp turn. That was nasty but not really a complain :)
But there was a longer part at the end of stage 5 or 6 where it was hard to see the track and i missed the right corner a couple of times. That was something i thought i could be improved.

    Copy paste from email:

Alrighty. I've spent a few hours playing it on my iPad Air 2.

The auto calibration sets the graphics to max, except for the resolution. This is set between 61% and 70%, depending how many apps are open.
Setting it to max results in very tiny stutters as the camera pans around the car. During racing it's less noticeable. The sweet spot for me is about 80% percent.
My OCD is being tested though, because there is a weird bug were it skips 80% and counts straight to 81 from 79.
The UI is in widescreen, so not fully utilizing the iPad screen as of yet.
Feel free to ask screenshots of certain scenes or the UI and I'll make them for you.

Gameplay wise it's really though. One slip up and first place is out of reach.
Maybe I am not very good at it, but even with break assist it isn't a picnic.
Touchscreen controls are horrible so obviously I use tilt.
There are times that the car skids totally out of control and spins around. At times it simply feels the car breaks out way too easily though.
The best place I've managed is 6th I believe.
I know this isn't an arcade title, but the difficulty feels very steep right off the bat.
Will try and keep at it though.

If anything needs elaboration, let me know and I'll reply asap.

Great stuff, I'll try and get a concise answer tomorrow, I have made the entire game scale able. Now you start with slower cars, and unlock faster ones as you go, but the difficulty of the championship mode will scale based on car typ (so you can complete it with a slower car but still be competitive with the ai). Of course time trial will only really count in the world rankings with the 4 fast cars (the speed it is now) but this really means the game is still serious but fun and opens it up to more people!

Really nearly getting there, haven't had much time due to my living room being overhauled this last week!

I'm struggling with Sweden Stage 2, hairpins on tarmac take me a few attempts, then when I think I have the stage and setup nailed, the surface changes to snow and there's another hairpin just before the finish line.

Just to let you know I'm nearly there with the latest stuff, hopefully when you get the next build you can play through the game from start to finish (with the exception of rally cross and skill games being left out), you will also unlock cars as you go. Once again though its worth noting that the tracks are not final so what you are "used" to playing will most likely change. Especially the Spanish tracks as they are actually quite dull in comparison to the rest.

This will also be the "full" version and not the Lite version in terms of the build, I'll probably upload both so you can pick and choose which one you like, but the lite version is scaled down to how it will be when releasing (basically a demo).

Then once I've had yet more feedback from everyone, I'll tweak the cars a bit, add all the extra graphical stuff (vegetation more objects). Then we are nearly ready to go.

A few of you who have helped out more than enough may notice their name in the credits too ;)

Still lots to be done but I feel like I'm on the straight and narrow now!

Was my feedback of any use btw? Especially regarding the GUI scaling on iPad etc.?
(Do you own an iPad to test on? So far I figured you only test on iPhone yourself atm.)

Yes its all useful thanks, really useful!

The main menus will still probably stay widescreen as I have not enough time to build another UI for it at present. The in game ones however should be snapped to the top/bottom of the screen (except for the intro/outro screens which I will anchor correctly as they are incorrect at the moment). I do use an iPad Mini for testing but because I mainly build/test the game on PC when coding, I can easily see what any resolution will look like by changing the window resolution!

With regards to the difficulty, the different cars should help you with this, ideally you can choose a car that you feel comfortable with and then slowly build up to the more powerful ones. I've made sure that you will suffer no disadvantage in the single player game by scaling the AI based on the vehicle you use.

OCD wise, I'll need to look at it because your comment triggered my OCD too!

    Thanks!

Start to finish shouldn't be a problem. I've got up to Argentina at the moment.

Can you play Argentina with the latest? I cant remember if I turned it on or not. Like I have said and will continue to go on about, the objects and looks of the tracks are not final (especially as Argentina simply has a single bush asset for all 6 tracks!)

By the way I've also changed it so you only get a service station after every other stage in championship mode, and it makes the game so much more fun. Knowing once you have finished a stage that you need to drive the same damaged car for another stage adds to the excitement!

Yeah, that will definitely add more impact to crashes, pun kinda intended #, more of an issue if you take on stop much damage.

I got up to Argentina where the rally showed, but it wouldn't go any further.

Speaking of damage, everytime I crash even slightly, I restart the stage to avoid getting a bad time.

Haha, that's OCD right there ;) Looking forward to getting you all the new build, all the cars handle a little more differently now, tilt should be even better (I need feedback on this though please when it comes), you can now set resolution to 80% Pony ;)!

I've also made the input less twitchy which I think makes it better.

Looking forward to it! Tilt is all I use now, It feels pretty spot on to me in the current build, so if it's been improved even more I can't wait to try it out...

    Ah that's fantastic!
    However.
I have the lite version only. I've not seen an update in TestFlight since October 22nd.
Unfortunately I am still stuck in OCD land! :D

Yeah currently its just the lite one. I managed to play through myself over the last few days and I need to make some more tweaks. Spain is terrible compared to Finland in terms of the track layout so expect another 6 tracks. Noce I start with lesser powered cars, all the tracks play great, but Spain is quite dull due to all the straights and tarmac!
