This is getting better and better! I did think the same for the snow falling, but you're already across that... I am finding on my iPod that I lose the track occasionally in Sweden but that just adds to the challenge! Don't have much more to add, that Crabman hasn't already pointed out, just that this is already Amazing!
Hehe thanks, I hope you don't mind waiting a bit longer for a better overall product as I think it's worth making this a 10/10 game if possible!
with the latest update, im pretty sure its going to receive 10/10 review from most rally fans. the controls is exactly what im looking for, also the physics are perfect!i think right now you should start working for optimisation and gameplay progress. oh and dont forget bout the graphics thing ps. even on its early beta stage, this game already crush other rally games on the appstore and took the throne.
not only on the app store The handling/physics are the best (for a rally game) i've seen in years (but i can only compare it to console or iOS games,i don't play on PC).I'm sure it will rock highest scores in all reviews,i just hope enough people will also buy it.Not to start THIS topic again but we all know what's going on with premium games these days and Rally sport was always more of a niche sport. Btw,somebody mentioned it on the last page regarding switching back and forth between rallies:this is NOT how rally works and i strongly disagree here.If you start a WRC,you need to go through the whole season to collect wins/points.That is a big part of the thrill.I said it earlier, even if you gain a bad position in 1-2 rallies there is still a chance to win the cup, That said,it's good to have rally cross and minigames as well,to attract the more"casual"player as well. And time trials for those who want to race selected rallies/stages.
Yeah it's good on 9.0.1, first time I've played the game with sound on in while, big fan of the turbo noises! I had to auto detect the graphics again, (it crashed the first time, but was fine the second) because the FPS was sluggish in Sweden. Cos the corner icons were transparent, yellow and green were pretty difficult to see at a glance.
I'm not sure how many noticed but I redid the tree models for finland and Sweden, and doubled how many there were, that could account for the slow down in Sweden (or it could be the particles?) what tracks was it worse on so I can take a peek?
i notice some slowdowns on spain tracks but its just a glance. doesnt affect the gameplay at all. so i think its still acceptable. havent try sweden track yet since im still replaying spain track to get the best result
I think it's fine either.Yes,i had to set the shadows on medium for now (as mentioned before) but i did some comparison and there was not much of a difference between medium and high quality shadows.I think in motion it's barely noticeable. If that's the price for more trees...i'm in The slowdowns i had were not particular on tracks with rain or snow.I had some (few)heavy slowdowns when i first fired up RR2 after i installed the latest beta but they disappeared after i restarted my device.
I've been reading about the F2P and IAP that the new Need for Speed will offer, and its mainly negative so I'm happy with the choice to make this premium. I'm hoping that this choice will also give it that extra nudge I feel it may need! There is another build coming this week sometime , again I'll be resetting the leaderboards so expect your data to be wiped again (a small price to play for an early build though I guess!)
I did not pay a lot of attention to NFS but from i've read the real issue is with having energy timers again.I'm not tired to repeat it over and over again but energy timers are coming straight out of the gaming hell imo.Playing,waiting,playing,waiting,playing,waiting...has nothing to do with gaming anymore. It's only a business decision how to squeeze the last penny out of gamer and punish all who don't want to pay for consumable IAP.If at least the price for that kind of currency would be fair (it's ALWAYS ridiculously overpriced) or delivering a one time payment to get rid of timers... I don't want to support this business model so i avoid to even gift them a download. It really hurts in some cases (yes, looking at you RR3).i think Asphalt 8 has a forgivably F2P model though. It's not always bad but of course,i prefer premium anytime. Btw,i always wanted to say that the "x" to close the pop ups is way to small for my taste but i assume this is something that is out of your hands so i'll stay quiet. And i assume it won't be there in the premium version of your game
HAHA yes, the advert cross will only be in the demo/lite version and is out of my control, it will be even more frequent that what you are seeing now too (I'm also going to make it more like old fashioned demos where you play one track then it loads up the attract mode with a sales pitch, so its not even anything like a F2P game, it'll only have a few tracks too).
I agree, the only games I've got on my phone with enery timers I play at specific times. (once the timer has completely refilled) I doubt it earns any extra money, unless a spoilt gamer who can't wait is playing. It's just annoying to everyone else who is not. I would rather pay an outright price at the start, and not be bothered with in game purchases. Otherwise why put it on App-Store for free? It's just misleading. I would also say the damage incurred at each stage is not repaired enough. As I go through an event, damage gets worse at each rally, so when I get to the final, my car is pretty much totalled.
Sweet, I've completely untested all of this, and so ill give you a bit more repair time! I do think the suspension gets knackered too quickly too. I also need to make it more obvious to a player when stuff gets broken (like wheel axles). I like the understeer you get after totalling the front too but it may not be fun for most to have this in it?
Maybe include the effect when something gets broken? Increased understeer is frustrating but if you know the reason behind it, you will try harder to avoid it.
Yeah, that leads back to having a dangling front bumper which is easy to implement code wise, but means i need to break down all 8 car models some more... perhaps its worth it...
I like the game. The car is difficult to control , but it is very satisfying when I drifted well by the curve . The graphics are nice, but the falling snow is a little bit static. my wishes: - replay (like in colin mcrae) - easier car settings (like highspeed, acceleration, grip)
I think the repair time is fine.Even if i really messed up a stage(and SERIOUSLY damaged my car) ,i'f i'm more carefully the next 1-2 stages i'm still able to cross the final line with a repaired car.If it's too easy and you can just pull all sliders to the left anytime...well,then the whole repair system is pointless.
So before I go out to play football tonight, here's what I have just squeezed in! - Finished off the looping track generation - Added tilt sensitivity - Bigger corner icons
pleaseeee, it is worth, at least for me.......and many others will be happy with this implementation .
