Yeah you need fast fingers to use it, I tried it on the steering side and it was even harder to use! As for menus the next build has a bit more stuff hooked up as it was never implemented. So you can use gas and brake to navigate, there are a few places where you still need to use touch still though! Great feedback thanks, it really gets me fired up to finish it! Does anyone use the map? I've re- added the corner icons as crabman suggested but really they need to be in the center at the top where the map is. Which means moving the map somewhere else... Or having a toggle between map and icons...
I use the map but that could change with corner icons. An option to choose would be nice. ...And could the copilot stop EATING while racing?Who allowed him this? esit:i would definitely use the corner icons over a map since it is more authentic.
As of now I do find myself using the map.. But that may change once I try out the corner icons. Perhaps a menu toggle to switch between the two would be nice! Either that or, (Not sure if this would work) but if you want to have both at the same time.. have you tried putting the map on the left side directly underneath the target time / penalty times? Then the corner icons could be top center.
Yup I feel like it did not register. Like while holding the accelerator reaching a tight corner tap brake and steering but it probably brake but didn't steer. It's very random thou. Maybe if I try playing with gamepad I can truly tell if that is the case. Have not try with game pad yet
Just want to admit that i just didn't noticed the tyre squeal before. It's there and nice to have. Another general request:a bit more"daylight"(noon) to some stages maybe. In my mind manifested that picture that it's all in all a bit of a"dark"game. Most stages at late afternoon or early morning (?).I have the brightness set to 50% on my ipad and i almost never change this.Other games are just about right with this setting (heavier sunlight aside).
If it's not too difficult, maybe consider having three options in the menu? 1. Corner icons (centered) 2. Map (centered) 3. Both (Corner icons centered , map on left)
Yeah at the minute the I've stuck in a range of lighting mainly to test performance (as well as to make it look quite cool with the headlight!). I'll make sure more are "daylight" though.
Can I just say a big thank you to all who have given feedback my inbox is jammed with loads of great feedback this weekend and I've not had a single negative about the handling (apart from tilt sensitivity issues which have now been sorted). In fact handling wise has been the complete opposite which is great (about 95% of emails use the words "love the handling"). Also everything that has been suggested has been fantastic. Keep it coming and this game will be awesome!
Yeah, the handling IS great. It's so much fun...because of your Beta i was in SUCH a mood for more rally (with controller) and even bought the WRC game yesterday. But boy...it controls horrible and the physics are laughable.I'm thinking to refund it. It prefer to play your beta over and over again now isntead of this crap
Haha great stuff. There's still a lot to do that's for sure. I'm hoping apple approve the build from the weekend soon so I can release it before I catch my flight. The Internet will be sparse where I'm going so I won't be very active until next Saturday! Last night I fixed a few other niggles and added options for map and navigation icons which work really well, the app gets moved if the navigation icons are on as well! Hopefully I'll have a plan for the entire game flow when I'm back! Let's hope the WRC license holders get hold of this so we can make an official game together! It would be sweet to use official cars and have nice hand crafted tracks!
special request feature: 1. rewind...pleaaaaaassseeee 2. add an interval like 3..2..1 after player resume from pause. thats all for now. i agree with the others about the handling, but i think add more sensitivity to the handling will be perfect. just a tiny bit.
Just some observations: -- Shaping up to be the most authentic rally game on a mobile device -- reminds me of my old-school PC days but different of course --I got a couple of crashes on Stage 3 of the Spain Rally championship in the newest build -- Are there devices that can handle all the graphic details at their highest levels? -- Set-ups: are they just default for each car or default for each car and the respective stage? I used to like the old-school rally games that would give you the ideal set-up for a particular stage so you'd have a benchmark, then you could tweak them a little here and there to squeeze out the best times (or to help cars handle to your preferences)
I just have to say that this game WILL be the best rally game available on mobile/tablet. I have been playing the beta version for about a week now and the only concern I could come up with is that I cannot experience the game with graphics at the highest level. In turn, that isn't a problem with the game...I just need to upgrade my iPad 3 to an iPad Air. With that said, it still looks amazing and the game plays flawlessly once the graphic settings are adjusted. As always, I am excited for the full game to release as I will purchase without hesitation. The addition of cars and tracks cannot come fast enough! The involvement the developer has with us the last several months, I know without a doubt Rush Rally 2 will continue to grow and mature into one of the best racing games you can play on mobile. I appreciate the opportunity and wish you great success upon launch Browmonster! Give em' hell!!!!!!
It is possible to max out the graphics on air 2 although on the cost of fps. It's too laggy for my taste when the resolution is maxed so i'm playing at 65% resolution (anything else maxed).I'm totally fine with it but i see the"danger"behind giving players PC like options. Many people may see all this nice things but can't use them Not a problem of the game but i can imagine a few player would rate it down in the appstore because of this.I've seen reviews there that make you think how the hell these idiots are able to even power on their device If you excuse me now, gotta try the new build edit:i like the corner icons although i would prefer to have them in the middle (where the map is.Could be also a tad bigger for my taste. no crashes in spain stage 3 for me. I know using menus with controller is not fully integrated yet but while you can already start a stage with controller, you can't end the stages (to go to the setup/repair menu).
Love the new build, as already mentioned I think you have nailed the handling, and with the tilt it feels absolutely spot on. I don't really have anything as a stand out that needs fixing.. On my wish list, I would love the co driver calls to be less distorted.... They are ok as is, but it would be an improvement in my mind to make them clearer.. Otherwise at this stage, I think you're on a winner! The trees in Finland look pretty great now too... ##
Brownmonster, thanks for offering me a beta test. Unfortunately I'm on iOS 7.1.2, so I can't use Test Flight
