@srtmxx The app crashes on 7.0 because of some unknown Spritekit problems in iOS 7.0. That's the reason we released for 7.1 and up.
Game Impressions This game is so exquisitely implemented, from the clean design to the really lovely artwork and excellent audio. The gameplay is simple, clear, well thought out and challenging. It reminds me of Threes!; another piece of IOS puzzling perfection. Bravo!
Too bad. Really too bad. This gem of a game is effectively designed for me. Well, I guess I have to cope with that. [sing] I believe in miracles, babe ... [/sing]
@strmxx Yes. That's really a pity but without any 7.0 devices around it is quite impossible for me to determine the problematic sections in iOS 7.0 and find a workaround.
Almost passed this one by as I thought it looked too sedate. I was certainly wrong about that. I've made it to Level 20 so far and I love how the rules seem to be getting ever more complex. The rule for Level 16 has me tearing my hair out. The frantic nature and ever-changing remind me of Airport Scanner and Critter Panic. It gets as frantic as the latter, but it's definitely deeper and more varied. Highly recommended.
How do you remember so many rules? I got to level 7. When you're level 90 you have to have the previous 89 rules memorized?
No. You get a new set of rules each ten levels (based on how far I have advanced, which is level 18). So, apparently you only need to remember up to ten rules at a time.
I don't know if it resets at 21 too, as haven't managed that yet either. I don't focus on remembering what number each rule is and I don't read the instructions for which rule to follow now. I just try to remember the order of the rules. I find it helps to group them, too. E.g. For 3 and 4 I remember "nines then other odds". Then it feels like I'm just remembering one rule. Edit: oh, and always play with the sound on. It really helps to know when you've finished a rule.
Very, very nice game! Didn't think much of it when I first saw it but famous devs and positive feedback made me take the plunge! As a player mostly playing on mute it would be nice to make a more obvious graphic/animation when finishing a rule. I think there may be some kind of vague flashing now, but make that clearer please. Approaching level 21 now, but became a bit concerned with the characteristics of rule 20. Without spoiling anything, would someone who progressed further care to enlighten me if those "kind of rules" are recurring or if it just is a one-timer. Pedroapan
I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten more love from TA. Likening this to Threes is apt - same level of polish and addictiveness. This was the only game I picked up last week, and it was the only game I needed. Somehow I've made it to level 28. Yes, the rules reset every ten, so you don't have to hold more than that in your head. But that's more than enough. Rules 20 and up are quite challenging to keep in my head. And no, I haven't come across another rule exactly like 20, but there are some doozies. And I don't know who can regularly get the "fast" points. I've gotten them maybe twice, and only because the board layout was super easy.
This is really fun, but man am I bad at it. My daughter got to level 17 on her first try. I don't think I will ever get a speed bonus. 16 squares in 5 seconds - too fast for me.
I've made it into the mid-thirties now and so far: Spoiler Yes, that sort of rule does appear again. For anyone curious about whether the rules are reset are Level 31, the answer is Spoiler sort of . Speed boosts are definitely possible, by the way. I get them most often in the second or third level of a series of rules, where you can quickly clear a few out of the way. I've had them in Spoiler levels 2, 3, 12, 13, 15 and 23 so far, I think.
Thanks for the clarification, guys! This is definitely a game where you improve over time. The first 20 plays or so I was unable to reach further than level 6-7, now I almost always go beyond 15. The speedbonus is more and more frequent now as well. Again, a great game! P
I got stuck on level 20 for ages, then the first time I passed it I reached 34. Now I've just gone from 34 to 49 in one jump. I did use a pen and paper between rounds to work out what rules are no longer required, though. Rule 42 is my favourite so far.
I just happened to stumble on this game, when I was looking to see if there was any new releases this week, that would interest me. I don't know how I had missed it from the week before. Everything about it appealed to me, but there was only a few pages about it on the forum. Surely there would be more if it was as good as it looked. But, the few that had commented, loved it, so I went ahead and got it. Why is this game not getting more attention? It is ridiculously addictive, and so polished. People are missing out if they don't grab this beauty. I am currently playing on iPad, and it already looks great, but I am looking forward to it being universal. And I must admit, I would love to see a mode where the rules were in random order. Is this a possibility, further down the line? Now, if only I could work out level 20. I have tried the obvious, but still no success.
There's not really anything to "work out". The obvious should work and let you go straight on to the previous rules to clear the board.
