Rugby Nations 2011 - New Update

Discussion in 'Upcoming iOS Games' started by distinctivegames, Feb 1, 2012.

  1. Hi all,

We have an update in submission with Apple for Rugby Nations 2011, just in time for the start of the Six Nations championship.

Details about this update are below:

Several people have asked for more challenges so we’ve included another 9 brand new challenges. And when I say ‘Challenges’ I mean they are very very challenging. If you’ve managed to complete all of the current challenges these new challenges should keep you entertained for quite some time.

    Full List of New Challenges

    1. As England, you need to try and win the game with the entire 2nd half to play.
    2. With only 5 mins remaining in the half, you need to try to take Wales into the lead before half time.
    3. As France, you need to try to hold off a last gasp attack from Wales, with only 1 minute left in the game.
    4. As Ireland, you need to go all out for the win with only 5 minutes left on the clock.
    5. Can you pull off a sensational upset and take Italy to the win with just 20 mins left in the game?
    6. A low scoring event so far requires Wales to go all out for a win with only 1 minute left on the clock.
    7. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Scotland must try and beat the advancing Italy team.
    8. With 30 minutes left on the clock, Italy must try and beat the rampant French team.
    9. As full time approaches nothing but a try will give Ireland a late victory.

We have also taken the opportunity to add 3 new stadia to freshen up the game experience and add a degree more realism.

And, since it’s still very much Winter up here in the northern hemisphere, you’ll also find a variety of weather effects in the form of rain and snow. Some matches still take place in glorious sunshine so it’s not all bad weather.

Finally, we’ve updated most of the textures in the game making use of more vivid colours and increased detail. These changes are fairly subtle but, we hope, makes the game look more realistic.

We’re really delighted with the continued interest in Rugby Nations and we hope that you enjoy this update. :)
