  1. I'm happy to announce that Rugby Nations 09 will be released on Wednesday 10th June.

To answer LBG's question, I'll try to get a full gameplay video uploaded before Wednesday.

Thanks for all of your support so far!

    Cheers,
    Nigel

A quick play through the game has me pleasently suprised.

First half finished 10-3 my way, England (Me) vs. Ireland.

I scored two fairly easy tries, but missed the conversions. The kicking aspect of the game may take a little getting used to.

One thing which had me a little confused is to why one of the Ireland players had broken free, was destined to go and score the try, and then drop-kicked the ball for 3points?

The game finished 20-3, with me again scored two tried from basically flanking it out to the wing. I haven't scored a conversion BUT i'm hoping its one of those practise things :)

One thing i'd like changed is the button configuration for when attacking, the passing buttons should be on top, and the sprint and kick should be below on the screen, this will help because then when running in the ball, you can quickly pass the ball, and then carry on sprinting, instead of having it ever so slightly ackward the way it is!

Overall, its a very fine game, first of its kind on the iPhone I believe :)

Well done, i'd probably be critical and give it a 3.0/5.0, actually, it'd be more like a 3.5/5.0!

This is on first play through! My mind may change over the next week :p But I shall keep returning to this thread.

  8. Thanks Simbazz for the review.

As I've said before, we want to make Rugby Nations the very best Rugby game, not just on iPhone but, on any platform so all feedback is welcome.

We'll probably do 3 major updates before turning our attention to Rugby Nations 10 so keep your comments coming.

    Thanks,
    Nigel

I've not played it again yet, will do so properly tomorrow, as its almost 2AM, and I don't do well under tiredness :p

Please, please, please rethink the buttons as i've mentioned in my post, it can only make this game better. I did find it quite fustrating!! :)

  10. OK, we'll put that on the list of things to improve :)
