So far this is going to be my favorite EXE game with Warlord Revival going a close second.

Revival just is a bit outdated on the animations but not any worse looking than similar RPGs. I'm just annoyed that the icon looks like a cut and paste job and then the app name doesn't even fit. Makes me wonder if they actually even tested it for ios.

Haha, yes! I was on the fence with Revival and eventually put it off and forgotten about it pretty much. But I'll get to buying when I have the extra $ to spend.

And OMG, I have gotten my ass handed to me twice in Hearts, it's that boss battle in the Temple, my goodness. This is the first KEMCO title that made me smile when I had a game over, lol. So far all their RPGs has been easy for me by spamming skill; no-brainer, but this! Yum.

I take it that you like it?

I suspect that I'm nearing the end of the game... If so, then the game is really short...

^ wow really? i thought you were just at the second boss a day ago?

The map seems decently big. I just got my last part member, the priest. I love how they added even more to the gameplay with formations and trust levels. Game is so good! I'm at about 6 hours right now.

It looks big, but the cities and dungeons are far from each other.

Apart from the story, you have the usual sub quests, missions where you have the kill a certain number of a certain monster, and an arena. For the arena, I don't know what it is about, I have to unlock it.

You get a vehicle to travel the world but there's really isn't much and to miroa, the Arena will open when you are level 26.

This is what I assumed to be the final stage :( cause it looks like it; played many RPGs to know this (the conversation), hopefully I am wrong.

It was open when I was lvl 24. I suppose it opens just before you go to the other world. I also feel like it is the end, but I don't know. There were parts in the temples that weren't accessible because a big rock was blocking the access. It looks like there are still things to do. Let's play and see hahaha

I hope it doesn't end that quick! Besides, I've only seen ONE side quest (from the village at the start of the game) and ONE partner item. It'd be terrible if the game ended that soon :/

As soon as you go the next town, go back in the former one to get a sub quest. Plus, some can be repeated.

The place which I thought is the last stage seems to have powerful enemies, but I'll keep playing to see. I'm doing little sidequests just to see how long the game is, currently at 11 hours.

EDIT: False alarm! There's still more! :D that P place is not the last dungeon; had me fooled but it's such an arse to navigate many treasures though!

P/S: The Light Deity is pretty!

My wish is to see an IOS JRPG that is at least 50 hours long, similar to the JRPG's of the SNES and PS1/2 era. But I guess developers nowadays do not want to commit to long term projects like that anymore and would settle for less risker, smaller scale projects.

I don't hold that against them though! It's a sound business strategy and as long as they don't churn out those shitty "online only, timer restricted, annoy your friends for goodies" model, I'm happy.

Regarding game length (which also means production values)... iOS users wont pay shit for premium apps. So we cant expect those from just-budding iOS devs.

But if you want that kind of length in JRPGs, we have some ports that may scratch the itch.

For ones on iOS that can get really long, we have ARPGs like the Foursaken Media titles, Battleheart Legacy, Infinity Blade trilogy (although this is just about infinite game+ repeats, but the main story's pretty short), and a few of the select KRPGs.

For measly $5 or less, the Kemco RPGs are of decent length IMO. Some titles are better than others, and some Kemco Dev Teams hav proven they can dish out really good titles.

That said, i still love Kemco as they provide us with premium JRPGs constantly. For non-Kemco titles, my favorites are Dragon Fantasy, Cthulhu Saves the World, Pen & Paper RPG, Monster RPG 2, and Adventure to Fate (although this last one may feel a bit rogue-ish despite being a JRPG).

Is there a list of Kemco Games sorted by developer? I would be really interested in seeing that.

I've purchased around 20 of there games but have only actually completed 2. But I keep on buying them!

Ive bought 5 or 6 and played 0.

I seriously need like 100 hour days, to clear my backlog.

Usually it'll say at the bottom of the AppStore page (like in the image posted, it says WorldWware [dunno why TA blocks that??]), or on the left in the copyright area if you're in iTunes... If not, you can usually look up a trailer on YT or in the threads here and it'll show the Devs logo at the beginning.

They also have a couple bundles in the AppStore that are grouped by developer

Most of the console RPGs from those respective eras were sub-25 hours for me. Different paces for different folks, of course, but most of the EXE-Create turn-based RPGs I've played have been 20+ and Alphadia Genesis took me over 30 to get the good ending. So, I don't think it's really wise to make a generalization about what's on iOS in comparison to what else is out there. So, if my 20 is your 50, then I gotta tell you that your wish has been granted already. Fanatic Earth, which I think is one of the best of the EXE-Create games, IS very short though; about half the length of the rest of their stuff. I don't know yet if Asdivine is all that short, but . . .

The problem with these games is mainly time and budget. They have small soundtracks, small bestiaries, a handful of NPC sprites and character artwork. Also, while they do have very good writers, they generally have them running with mediocre ideas so there's only so much they can do with them. Arbitrarily making them longer--and, as I've mentioned, they usually aren't that short--would just bloat them. I like Alphadia Genesis, but it's just not rich enough a gameplay experience to not feel spread too thinly by the time its over. In contrast, while I was surprised by how short Fanatic Earth was, it felt like it had the right amount of content for the time, which was about as much as other EXE titles condensed into a more streamlined game.

YESSSS. great news :) i was hoping it was a red herring. Game sounds even better now

Btw i don't know how long I can keep up hard mode. Enemies are fine but the bosses are exponentially harder. I'm stuck on the third boss even though I've leveled 4 times :/ she keeps spamming the wind blast every turn for about 400 damage and i have about 500 hp average. I can't heal fast enough.. I wonder if it's time to switch to normal. The challenge may be too great for me..

I'm hoping there's a new game + where we can keep our gems :)

I had trouble with her even on Normal, I believe since you're on Hard try to level up a few more levels. Also, build up your gauge, save it.

In battle have Stella focused on healing the party, Celine can use Fan Crush to delay the enemies, have Felix use Attack Up on Zack, now when the boss is midway through death (little HP), have Zach use Divine Slash (I think thst's what it's called? Hit for 20x), hopefully this will finish off the lady boss and you can clean up the remaining jello with ease!

    Good luck.

EDIT: I forgot Uriel exist! She can use her Skill "Let me help you." to recover the party's HP, her dark magic is also pretty strong!
