^ Ah thanks guys! I guess I missed that. Sounds like from the thread people are enjoying it. I'm still watching the gameplay videos and scratching my head whether to buy it or not. I can't see much of the gameplay from the first part of the game since that's where the story kicks in. I do have some minor issues I see with the gameplay in the trailer but I'm just trying to see if this is worth buying since I bought other Kemco games and mid way through I lost interest because it just lacked some sort of charm that'd keep me coming back.
^ You mean you downloaded the pirated version first? I was 99% sure everyone having issues just didn't have the original game. Kemco is pretty much the only company I know that does this on nearly every game.
Square Enix has some pretty stiff anti-piracy stuff too. It actually screwed up PAID users on Android following a system update. And by time they patched it, they also erased everyone's saves.
I've actually been impressed with some of the dialogue. The characters are extremes but they actually show much more insight into how people are then you usually find in these titles. There's obviously care put into the story. And little touches, like some monsters that eat other monsters...nice touch. Yeah, I am really enjoying this! Level 30 or so and just got the airship. It seems like there are some monsters that are much tougher than I can handle out there so I am curious where te story is going, as it seems there must be a fair chunk of content left.
Well I honestly think blocking out piracy (or jailbreak actually) has a worse effect than leaving it alone. SQE had that stupid thing with their Deus Ex that made me never want to buy that game from them. I'm glad they learned their lesson from that. Cutting out piracy seems is a pretty much double edged sword. ---- What are your guy's play times on the game? I'm staring at the buy button... lol. This is really the only Kemco game that looks different and special. However I'm an artist and to be fair, I don't care for the character designs in this game series. They looked better in some of their other games imo. That's like 50% of what's stopping me.
Well, i admire you for being honest, but i dont think TA will tolerate that behavior. It's not being judgmental (no E in the spelling ), it's being fair to devs and other users.
Thanks for the spelling corrections #. But at least people know about anti piracy measures. How are you enjoying the game btw?
Just finished the normal ending at 14+ hours. This includes completing all the subquests, messing around with the arena, and maybe 30-1hr end game grinding for extra levels and spells (the last dungeon builds you up pretty quick) You unlock postgame content by defeating the last boss again and choose the 'right' option afterwards - pretty straightforward so you guys can figure that out. So far postgame content includes finding a new set of legendary weapons and armor, and another 'secret' area. (Anyone know if there are subquests #22 or higher?)
WOOO!!! About to relax... put my legs up... and dive into this for a couple hours while I do laundry. =oD Pretty excited to get into it. Even though I haven't finished the 2nd one yet... it'll be great getting into the beginnings of the story. Alphaida is definitely one of the better Kemco offerings when it comes to plot and writing. =oD
Some of the special item descriptions are really hard to understand. Like these arena items: The hitman ring increases your hit count to four...the help file says every five hits makes a combo hit with 10% bonus! but that doesn't seem worth the price. Am I missing something with combos? The unlimited bracelet is talking about sub energi but when I put it on my sub members there sp didn't go up on their ringed element. Which is what I was hoping for. It's a drag that my sub members are way behind on their energi ranks. The quadrupler pearls don't have a real clear benefit either, they also effect hit count. Can anyone shed some light?
Wow. Well... I meant to just start it up and play for about 30 minutes before going back and finishing up Alphadia II... but now I've put in over 4 hours and, yet again, Enah's got me completely immersed. I might even try and finish this one before I go back to FFVI. =oO
Post game means playing the game again like "new game +" or does that mean after you beat the main story there's a few extra areas / quests you can do?
Means after defeat Sigler second time, you choose to end him or spare him. Spoiler Sparing him means continue the story further......... The energi leveling up still behind level character up. Need to find areas with many SP to grind..... Village of Nall arena game no joke...
Like Dennis said, just beat the boss again (and choose to let him live) and it will unlock a new quest number value = how many hits the skill will do. most skills that work like this scale down after every hit, but still does great damage (always aim for 7-9) Combos increase the damage of your attacks. Every 5 hits increases damage by 10%. So if you were to do a 18 hit combo: hits 1-4 = no bonus hits 5-9 = +10% damage for those hits hits 10-14 = +20% hits 15-18 = +30% Damage really piles up when you start doing 50-70 hit combos I'm not really sure what the difference is between the Hitman Ring and the Quadrupler Pearls (don't use either of them, there are much better accessories). They both change your attacks to 4 hits, if i had to guess, I think the Hitman Ring works with skills, while Quad Pearls only affect normal attacks The Unlimited Bracelet is the only way for your characters to level up their sub energies to 99 (the strongest ring only goes up to 75). It doesn't work the way you think it does. You equip the Unlimited Bracelet with whatever Energi Ring you want to level up. Reserve characters only gain SP for their main Energi, they have to be in battle for the subs to go up.
Hi ! I never really understood the ring System. Can anyone explain it to me please ? Is the Rank the Level of the rings ? If yes, do you Keep the rings equipped until Rank 25 or do you swap them in between ? If i remember correctly in the first game the rings "kept" their Level. For example "fire ring Level 9". In this game the rings don't Level up, right? Also I don't understand the Sub member System. When do you swap the characters?
Equipping a ring allows your character to gain xp for elements other than your character's default. For example putting a water ring on Fray (fire) will let him learn water magic. He'll only have access to the water spells as long as it is equipped. The rank of the ring is the level cap for that element. Whether you stick with one or alternate them up is up to your play style. I tend to stick with one. Sub members gain xp and also primary energi xp at the same rate as those in your party. But they won't rank up in their sub energi, so they will fall behind in that aspect. Again, whether you stick with the same four or try to keep them all even is up to your play style. I pick my favorites early on and play with them exclusively. A tip: Use overkills to your advantage. You can easily double your SP earned from every battle by using them. Plus they replenish your EP....
