I'm loving it so far. Don't know why it's got a two-star listing on the headline, must be a bug since both the TA reviews and the Apple store reviews are high. So far... Pro -Really innovative (and fresh) zoom in/zoom out features -Battles are smooth and quick -UI is fantastic, feels more professional than Squeenix game -Like always, characters while cliche are written well -As the 3rd offering, world seems to be well developed, with a lot of backstory that isn't cliche (which is nice) -2D graphics are wonderfully animated, great art -Love the hidden passages/hidden currency in game, gives you a reason to really study the maps instead of just rushing through Con -Movement is a little weird; touch to move doesn't seem to be as intelligent as other Kemco offerings
Over 4 hours into this now, and im pretty sure i've only scratched the surface. This is my current go-to RPG and im loving it.
Speed rank him down at the beginning of battle. Make sure you are paying attention to the status change comment about bosses, because a lot of the skills that affect regular monsters don't affect bosses. Don't overheal, and use your powerful skills to widdle down his HP. Make sure you leave enough HP for a heal if you need it. Easy fight if you follow that strategy. You'll end up gaining a level and getting back your HP after, so it's all good if you get low.
No, for me, the fight is messed up. Can not fight properly. Only the baby sister can move and the boss turn never came. She just hit for 1 dmg for normal attack and her light arrow skill hit for 99999 but the boss doenst die at all.
Finally got the game to work, and it is fantastic. The 2-D animation is fantastic, the 3-D leaves a little to be desired, but it's not bad. The story line seems good and the game is quick paced. Possibly my favorite kemco game to date
That's weird. I am running os7 on an ipad air and didn't have any problems like that. I have to say I'm really enjoying this game. The zoom in and out feature and the hidden treasures are great incentives to pay attention and explore. Zooming out is nice in general since there isn't a dungeon map The ui is great and I appreciate you can skip the camera pan at the start of battles. The tap to move actually makes it a little easier, I think, to find hidden tunnels One tip! Wish I knew this earlier. Your characters will automatically have SP go to either light, water, or fire, so equip them with a different ring so to maximize.
This game is really good. The voice overs on certain cutscenes and the 3d battles are refreshing. I like the fact you can find iap currency ingame (need to keep your eyes sharp though). Only a few hours in and i've collected over 200 points - believe the most expensive item in the shop is 150. You don't have to play the previous games to follow this one, but if you have, you'll notice a few references and cameos. Heck, the recurring character made it to this one too. Worth it, get it while it's still half off.
The characters are fairly (really) cliche, but they at least have some depth, Unlike some previous kemco games
Thanks for all the imps. Not sure when I will get to playing it, but bought it during the release sale because of all the positive posts.
Not saying anybody is, but I know some past Kemco games did have anti piracy measures including making certain bosses impossible to beat
I'm thinkin instead of waiting until next Friday I'll go ahead and snag it tomorrow. Do KEMCO games ever go on sale very often?
Their games go on sale quite often. Wow I can't believe I overlooked this one. I thought someone bumped an old thread so I kept ignoring it then I opened it out of curiosity. Wow screw playing them in order, I think I'll have to get this. 3D in a Kemco game? This is surprising! Though I'm a bit disappointed the trailer shows that they don't actually touch the enemy when they attack. So the fight style is 2D but looks 3D.. interesting. Anyhow, I'm a bit on the fence but damn.. I want to like it! I wonder how long it actually takes to beat (content wise). I heard most of the other Kemco games were around 5-10 hours which for an RPG imo is rather short. What's the final install size on this guys? Thanks!
