Been a long time since I posted here... Saw this as a game of the day featured in the App Store and I immediately wondered if it was related to Rooms that I played long ago and absolutely loved. I am so happy that all the information was put in this thread. Going to buy this tomorrow as soon as I put some $$ in my account. Thanks @y2kmp3 for asking the questions and the dev for answering so clearly. I still have a version of Rooms : The Main Building (Hudson Soft, 2011) on an old ipad. Is this related to that game? It says Handmade Games in the opening splash screen, so probably?
Hi Yeees, I was so thrilled to be featured on the US AppStore's Game of the Day! It's currently #1 paid puzzle game now!! Yes, this is the official sequel to Rooms: The Main Building. That's quite amazing that you still have that on your iPad. That was my first commercial game which were released back in 2008 in Big Fish Games, and HUDSON soft published and ported it onto NDS / Wii / iOS
very cool. Yes, it is still running iOS 9. So many games were being pushed out due to iOS changes, I decided to keep and older OS operating system, especially since I got an iPad Pro. So, my old iPad has a number of older app store jewels like Rooms: The Main Building. I wish you great success with the sequel. I am purchasing it this evening once I get some funds in my App store account.
Awsome! I have actually never saw Rooms 1 running on iPad It was ported by HUDSON and the source code is lost. Please keep that iPad preciously. One day I might need for a game history museum XD Thanks for the wish!
