Agree with you guys. It's weird to think the game is finished but no release date has been announced. Usually, a release date is announced when a game isn't even finished. The wait is getting irritating rather than exciting.
Oh no, a touch of bad news. Rome: total war has moved back to "soon" as opposed to the "very soon" rating that it was just days ago, on the feral release radar website. https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/upcoming/ With the zipped lip approach, I would take that as anywhere in the 2 week to 2 month range now, if that radar has much accuracy that is.
Wow this is super frustrating. Not that it's getting pushed back, I'd rather have a bug free and very well done game but it's so annoying and not very good that they don't communicate really anything about it. All they say is soon and there is stuff on the way. That's not very classy in my opinion and need better communication.
This absolutely sucks! And I agree about the lack of communication. After so much hype, if it's still going to take a month to come out, the least they can do is inform the fans. Unless they expect it not to sell well, hence, not too many people interested in it in the first place.
Such a shame - really thought we'd be playing this by now. Agree about the lack of communication - sad to see.
Well, I was looking forward to it because I didn't have a PC to game and this would satisfy my TW itch. Now I'll be building a gaming PC very soon, so unsure whether I will be picking this up. There are other TW games to play, ones I couldn't before as I didn't have a powerful enough PC.
It Will be here before December. Even though the company has maybe pushed it back some I believe that feral interactive is a good company and works very hard. The game looks finished and I believe feral interactive will keep its word and deliver in the autumn. Which only has a few weeks left so I'd say release is not too far off.
Hello, Jith from from Feral Interactive here. This is our first ever iOS game, so we're new to the whole process and appreciate your feedback, ideas and patience. We're waiting until Apple has approved ROME: Total War for iPad before we announce a release date, because we don't want to give you a date and then miss it. We can confirm we'll have some brand new info for you next week! Thanks for your thoughts, everyone, keep them coming. We're listening.
Thanks for making contact with us Jith! I'm sure I can speak on behalf of everyone here and say we absolutely welcome the contribution of developers to this forum. There are a number of games on this forum with high developer activity and it always leads to a positive relationship and hopefully a few more sales at your end, although admittedly we're only a small school of fish in the ocean, or should I say, we're only a small battalion in the Roman war! Anyway, it's great to hear you'll have more info next week. But sounds like the guys at Apple are enjoying their testing time with this one just a bit too much. Maybe they need a phone call to remind them to give the green light already!
We like to pop in to community forums for Mac and Linux fairly often, so we're just finding our feet with iOS ones at the moment. If anyone does have any questions do reply to this thread, I will be around to answer them
Hey Jith, glad to see the dev team worried about communicating. Nowadays that is everybit as important as a good game. Just one questions, I know everyone loves Rome Total War, but are there any plans to move into the other games of the series? I ask this specifically because my favourite is MEdieval Total war, especially with the expansion, because it just opens up so may scenarios. Oh and another questions, that maybe has already been asked, I have an Ipad Air, will I be able to play Rome total war? Thanks Hope Apple approves you soon.
Any hope for iPhone? Are you considering bringing the game to iPhone? The 5.5 inch screen of the plus models should be enough for the game to be playable and it would mean a lot more potential buyers (also I don't have an iPad and I would love to play Rome on the go )
We haven't announced anything about other Total War games for iPad, but we'll let you know if this changes ROME: Total War will be available on iPad Air, as long as you're running iOS 9.3.5 or higher. There's a full list of the supported iPads at the Feral website. Thanks for your request! We'll keep you in the loop if we announce anything about ROME: Total War on iPhone.
Hi iith feral, Are there any plans to bring Multiplayer down the road? 1v1, 2v2... etc. Far fetched: Hopefully Nintendo Switch release in the future
Hello! We haven't announced any plans for multiplayer in ROME: Total War for iPad, but if that changes, we'll let you know.
Well things are moving fast then and I'm glad to see Feral finally being communicative with their fans about this. Good luck to you with the launch. I'll still be picking this up and hopefully it will do well.
