Hello All! UPDATE: We will be deploying the beta version of Roll'd any day now and would happily get some feedback from fellow toucharcade users. Unfortunately openings are limited so first come first serve. We are looking forward to sharing the game with you. We are both happy and excited to be able to finally reveal the project we have been working so hard on for the past months: Ladies and Gentlemen it is our great pleasure to present you with Roll'd: The endless runner with a twist. There are many features in the world of Roll'd which we will be revealing on a regular basis. We worked hard on acheiving a unique visual effects style yet at the same time showing our love for video games in general: ranging from the CGA era, via 4-8-16-32 bit pixel art and ending with the more recent Diablo 3 and Dark Souls references and inspirations. One of the main focuses of Roll'd is to be a competetive experience. To best your fellow man we already implemented leaderboards so you can always check who' has been the top Roller. But be wary though, Roll'd can and will be unforgiving and reaching that extra point with each game will prove to be a demanding yet exciting task. We hope you enjoyed the Announcement of Roll'd! We are nearing the beta testing phase and the game is set to be released within the following months and we cannot wait to show and tell you more, in the meantime here is a preview of in-game parallax, lightning effects in a venue known as Spin City. Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for the feedback coolpepper43 very nice to hear, as mentioned we will be bringing regular updates revealing more of the varied styles and themes, we hope you will like them as much as the ones linked above. Cheers!
That 3D look with the buildings behind the buildings, behind the buildings........ has a very nice look. I look forward to hearing more updates.
Can't wait to see how this turns out. It looks like a Evoland-type game, in that it pays homage to the generations as you progress. Add the fact it's an endless runner, and I'm in!
Hot twist Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry exciting!! Cute pig is lovely, too. I wonder a meaning of "twist" that looks to be involved in game core system!
The art style already has me intrigued and I am waiting for this M Night Shyamalan twist... As long as the twist isn't that we get Rickroll'd at the end.
Thank you all for the kind words and interest! We hope you will enjoy the upcoming updates as well as the twist when it is finally revealed

Hi there, please PM your devices UDID (just in case here is a link http://whatsmyudid.com/) and appleID related email. We will be updating the iOS wildcard sometime this evening, circa 10PM CET and sending out beta download links tomorrow.
Roll'd update Hello Everybody! Today we will be revealing the remaining levels of the release version of Roll'd. More levels will be added in time, we can spoil that 2 of them should please the bloodborne, diablo and dark souls crowd. The beta will soon be over, thanks to those who participated and for your feedback! We will be putting the game up for Apple review in about two weeks. So if all goes well Roll'd should be available in the last week of May. But now onto the main game: Raw CGA Power The Raw CGA Power level of Roll'd is held in the tone of the color scheme of CGA adapters of the 80's and the abstract ideas that were common back in the day. It was also supposed to be the starting level/theme, here is an early draft/concept. Since Roll'd is supposed to be suitable for all ages it was deemed a bit too bizarre and was toned down for the game. It was also replaced with the Minimalian theme as the starting level which was considered more family-friendly. Minimalian The starting level of Roll'd is the most relaxing and neutral both in terms of Audio & Video. Navigate the runner through the treacherous ridgeline, no time to admire the sights with the twisting and turning track constantly trying to catch our hero off guard. We are also happy to present the first gameplay trailer: [hqyoutube]-oCu4rtWnZs[/hqyoutube] Remember that twist we mentioned? Well, we actually meant that pretty much literally: for you do not control the hero... ...you control the track. Keep it steady, twist and turn the track accordingly to keep it under the angle limit and save the runner from falling to his doom. Remember though, the better you play the higher score mulitplier you receive and hence the faster you levelup and unlock the next level. Run through the varying settings all specifically stylised with references and inspirations ranging from the CGA era, through 8-16bit NES/SNES to the golden ages of the Amiga and more. But at the same time they are all up to date with modern lighting effects, dynamic weather and some other cool visual treats. Features: -A unique twist on a classic genre -3 selectible control schemes: touch, slide or tilt -Addictive gameplay -Leaderboards -Varying and beautiful graphical settings and animations -Engaging Original Soundtrack -Varying weather, atmospheric effects and day cycle -Rich post effects going hand in hand with the visuals and audio See you rolling soon! In case of any questions, comments etc please let us know, we would like to know what everyone thinks. Thanks for tuning in!
Hahaha, nice twist. Not what I was expecting. I actually really like the original CGA art - looks like something I'd expect in a crazy Japanese music video xD Looks like a fun score-chaser. Will be picking it up.
@TheGreatEscaper: Happy to hear that, we thought so too, that was the general concept after all Alas keeping the game suitable for all ages means we had to compromise. @Rythan: Freemium, the other levels will be available via IAP but you can unlock all levels for free through playing/grinding. You unlock a new level by leveling up. The better you play, the higher score multiplier you will receive resulting in leveling up considerably faster.
Very pretty! From the trailer, it looks like you are always rotating the track to try and keep it straight. How does the game get more difficult?
