never quite grew on me, i think i only made it to the third level, and never played again

so maybe it grows on you, if you invest the time...which i surely did not..

You guys keep repeating. How much time did you actually spend with the game?

I've not been "repeating", I just joined this thread. I thought I'd answer your Q. I played off and on every day for about 2 weeks, give or take. I still pick up Rolando occasionally to play some of my favorite levels. I would say an hr. Estimate 17-22 hrs. unless you are just a Rolandoland ninja from the get-go.:D

Sorry to be confusing. I was adressing it to the complainers with the "too overhyped" argument.

I gotta say. This is hilarious. I went to sleep and just woke up and boom. Little red sled, idracula, rogue touch, rolando levels, floverlord redo. That's insane. Anyways. I am excited. I've only put in a hour or two but I've kept it on my iPod. I'm not sure I'll buy the sequel. It depends what you guys say.

Without even reading any of the posts, I'm guessing four things:

    1. Excitement for the announcement of new Rolando levels and a sequel from people who liked the game.

    2. Trolling against ngmoco for "finally" announcing an update

    3. Railing against the first game as "not meeting the hype"

    4. Posts in which the forum member states they didn't like the game and goes on to allude to game's art as "kiddie" being the primary reason behind their dislike of the title

So...how many did I get right?

I played this game, beat it and love it. I look forward to more levels and the sequel. Maybe it's because I ignore hype so I didn't have overly inflated expectations.

Just thought I'd say that I havnt been clear enough in my posts. My primary dislike is I found it to be dull and not very exciting. I find that weird because of how much excitement surrounds the game. I said it has a "child like theme" (which I guess isn't a bad thing), and the graphics match with a real fun theme, but as I didn't find it fun, it was a real hit and miss for me. I can't be bothered to play of for a few hours like some people have, just to end up liking it..
